Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson reportedly set a dubious historic precedent as she made her Broadway debut.
“I did it! I made it to Broadway,” an excited Jackson said in a clip posted on social media showing her walk-on role during the Tony-nominated woke musical “& Juliet.”
“We are literally being ruled by the grownup theater kids,” former Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz snarked on X as he reposted the news.

The romantic comedy is “a modern take on Shakespeare’s tragedy that imagines what would have happened if the female protagonist survived and took control of her own life,” according to NPR.
“They have invited me to do a special walk-on role that I’m told they wrote for me,” the justice told NPR’s “Wait Wait … Don’t Tell Me,” before taking the stage Saturday. “So I’m very excited.”
The production’s X account posted behind-the-scenes footage of Jackson who reportedly was only slated to be part of the show for one night.
“We have dreams,” Jackson, 54, said in an interview on “CBS Mornings” that aired on Monday.
“I had these two different loves: the law and theater. And so being the first black woman Supreme Court justice to appear on a Broadway stage, that has been a dream of mine for all of these years,” she said in the interview.
“I guess this moment reinforces for me that anything is possible,” she continued. “I didn’t let anything sort of hold me back or stop me, the obstacles that I would think are pretty obvious based on my background.”

The liberal Supreme Court justice appointed by President Joe Biden had talked of her “unabashed love of theater” in her 2024 memoir and reportedly performed in theater while attending Harvard.
“I got a call, and someone said, ‘We heard that this was your lifelong dream,’ ” she told NPR. “And it is — to be a Broadway performer and a justice.”
The outlet noted that the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg “made her onstage debut (with a speaking role) in a one-night-only cameo as the Duchess of Krakenthorp in a Washington National Opera performance of The Daughter of the Regiment” back in 2016.
While the leftist fans fawned over Jackson’s Broadway debut, plenty of social media users dropped a reality check on the SCOTUS justice.
Author Liz Wheeler noted that “when Ketanji Brown Jackson refused to define ‘what is a woman’ during her Senate confirmation hearing, she wasn’t being a brilliant legal mind. She was, and is, a radical leftist DEI hire propagating harmful, Neo-Marxist, anti-woman transgender ideology.”
“How bizarre,” quipped Ian Miles Cheong.
It’s so embarrassing

That moment you realize she became a Supreme Court justice just so she could perform on Broadway.

Soooo her life long goal was NOT to be a #SCOTUS but to be an actress that happens to be a scotus ?!
Not even quite sure how to respond to this next level crapola…#Unfrickinbelievable

What a total disgrace! This is so far beneath the office of SCOTUS justice. She needs to be censured for this embarrassing display of frivolity.

Hey! I think it was great!!! maybe she’ll consider resigning the supreme court and chase a Hollywood dream. You go girl, yes please, GO.

She looks pretty talented in this role! I think she should go into Broadway full time and retire from the Supreme Court during Trump’s term!
