Ana Navarro calls for people to open up their wallets for Liz Cheney

Faux Republican Ana Navarro urged people to rally behind former Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney after the incoming president suggested she be behind bars.

Navarro insisted to her co-hosts on “The View” that Cheney needs support and financial help if President-elect Donald Trump’s Justice Department follows through with an investigation of the sham January 6 committee and its members, including Cheney.

“First of all, thank God for Liz Cheney,” the so-called Republican said as the leftist audience applauded.

Cheney responded to Trump’s suggestion of jail time by claiming it was “a continuation of his assault on the rule of law.”

“Donald Trump’s suggestion that members of Congress who later investigated his illegal and unconstitutional actions should be jailed is a continuation of his assault on the rule of law and the foundations of our republic,” she said, rehashing the tired talking points about the Jan. 6 events at the Capitol in 2021.

In his first sit-down interview since winning the election, Trump told “Meet the Press” that Cheney “did something that’s inexcusable, along with Thompson and the people on the un-select committee of political thugs and, you know, creeps.”

“They deleted and destroyed all evidence,” he added.  “For what they did, honestly, they should go to jail.”

Navarro came to Cheney’s defense on “The View,” ridiculously calling on people to open up their wallets to help the failed lawmaker with potential legal fees.

Claiming the nation is looking to Cheney to confront the incoming president, Navarro claimed the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney has not gone to Mar-a-Lago to “kiss the ring” and is “not going into deep hiding and in silence.”

“She’s not changing her tune all of a sudden. She’s sticking to her guns. She is a principled person with a backbone and courage,” she gushed.

Navarro predicted that if Trump “goes after her,” Cheney will “fight back.”

“It is going g to be our job to protect her, to support her, to donate to a legal fund, to make sure there are lawyers ready to defend her,” she lectured, contending that being investigated by the federal government is a “big deal.”

She acknowledged that Trump told NBC’s Kristen Welker he would not be directing his administration to go after his political foes, but Navarro insisted that he is still pushing for retribution behind the scenes.

Navarro’s lack of self-awareness and absurd call to financially cover Cheney’s potential legal fees was met with expected scorn on social media.
