U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff has not been sworn in yet as a senator from California but he is already telling his soon-to-be colleagues how to vote.
The Democrat urged the Senate to reject President-elect Donald Trump’s nomination of Kash Patel to lead the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in a post on X Sunday.
“Kash Patel has publicly called for arresting members of the media and government officials,” the senator-elect wrote.
“And he is willing to do whatever Trump asks. Illegal, unethical or otherwise,” he added. “More suited as internet troll than FBI Director, the Senate must reject him.”

According to Breitbart, Schiff has had a “long personal vendetta” against Patel, who served as chief of staff of the Department of Defense, as deputy director of national intelligence, and as senior director for counterterrorism at the National Security Council.
“Schiff has been trying to destroy Patel ever since 2017 when Patel helped expose the fact that members of the outgoing Obama administration abused their power to ‘unmask’ the names of Americans caught on foreign wiretaps, a practice that was thought to have led to the unjust firing and prosecution of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn over false allegations of collusion with Russia,” the outlet noted.
A Department of Justice Inspector General report later backed up the valid concerns over abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court by the FBI.
Schiff served as chair of the House Intelligence Committee during the first impeachment investigation of then-President Trump and later was on the sham January 6 Committee. Both times, he targeted Patel and failed to nail him on anything.
“We will go out and find the conspirators not just in government, but in the media,” Patel vowed last year, in what could be construed as a warning to Schiff as well.
Schiff’s rant on X earned him much-deserved backlash on the social media platform.
If you have nothing to hide, then you have nothing to worry about. But if you’re corrupt, buckle up crooked Adam.

Remember when you impeached Trump and claimed you had “irrefutable” evidence of Trump being a “Kremlin asset?” We do. You’re going down, douche.

Calling Kash Patel names probably isn’t the best idea Adam Schiff.
Unless you’re trying to go to jail.

Here comes the king of performative outrage clutching his pearls over @Kash_Patel! Funny how you suddenly care about ethics and legality, considering your track record with creative truths. Kash is about accountability, and maybe that’s why you’re so nervous, he’s not afraid to…

You literally lied for five straight years on television, claiming that the sitting President of the United States was a Russian asset, which you knew was a lie!
