‘She lied’: Trump explains why he will pull shift at McDonald’s, says he will ‘do everything’

Ahead of a stop at a battleground state McDonald’s, the former president teased how much he was going to do to leave supporters “lovin’ it.”

Sunday in Lower Southampton Township, Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump would be dragging a claim from Vice President Kamala Harris into the spotlight. After the Democratic Party nominee alleged her path of falling up extended back to a stint wielding a fry basket, the GOP leader promised “I’m going to do everything.”

During an appearance in the studio on the curvy couch with the co-hosts of “Fox & Friends,” the president noted that neither Harris nor her campaign had yet to provide evidence that she had once worked for the fast food chain after his team and others had fact checked her about the claim.

“I’m going to do everything. I tell you what, a friend of mine owns a McDonald’s someplace,” he told Steve Doocy near the end of the lengthy appearance where he’d also fielded questions from viewers. “Oh, I’m going, because she lied.”

“You don’t think she ever worked in McDonald’s?” pressed Brian Kilmeade.

“I know she didn’t,” Trump asserted. “We checked it out…They said she never worked here. She even picked the store. We went to the manager. The manager’s been there forever. ‘You remember her?’ ‘No, she never worked here.'”

During her interview with MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle, Harris had spun a story that, “Part of the reason I even talk about having worked at McDonald’s is because there are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family.”

“I worked there as a student,” she contended. “I think part of the difference between me and my opponent includes our perspective on the needs of the American people and what our responsibility, then, is to meet those needs.”

Since clinging to her claim, the president has repeatedly promised that he was going to do what Harris said she’d done as even Snopes had admitted, “there was no tangible evidence of Harris working at McDonald’s as a college student.”

In fact, prior to the planned stop in Buck County Sunday, the GOP leader already had more evidence that he had worked for McDonald’s as a commercial filmed in his office at Trump Tower in New York City featuring Grimace began making its way around the internet once more.

Anticipation for the president’s fry cook debut was certainly high as supporters had already begun gathering outside the location with hopes of seeing the onetime commander-in-chief and potentially getting their order filled by the Republican nominee.

“The line at the drive through,” some suspected as many keyed in on the expert-level trolling, “will look like the entrance to a Trump rally!”
