‘We are not the same’: Cajun Navy responds to govt reportedly sending pallets of electric chainsaws to community with no power

The government reportedly sent in electric chainsaws to help a community without power handle the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, and even the Cajun Navy is weighing in.

Social media couldn’t help but point out all the things wrong with the “aid,” reminding others that you can’t rely on the government in times of emergency.

“The government shipped up 3 pallets of electric chainsaws to us in a community without power,” wrote X user “Masters.” It was quickly retweeted by the United Cajun Navy, which has stepped up to help those impacted by both Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Helene.

“In case anybody was wondering why we exist, we couldn’t possibly articulate it better than…this…” they said.

Social media bashed the government’s “help” and praised the people who are actually on the ground assisting those affected by these natural disasters:
