Trump cries foul over 60 Minutes edit of Kamala sit down: ‘Must be investigated’

Former President Trump cried foul and demanded an investigation following accusations that “60 Minutes” allegedly edited an answer from Vice President Kamala Harris given during another softball, propagandic interview.

Harris spoke with “60 Minutes” correspondent Bill Whitaker during a pre-taped session in what CBS News has referred to as a traditional interview with presidential candidates. It would seem that the traditional interview referred to included selective editing that was meant to put Harris in a more favorable political light. That’s hardly objective journalism.

The propaganda piece aired on Monday. Trump claims he never agreed to an interview on the show and was bashed by host Scott Pelley for it who claimed he backed out of the sitdown.

Trump hammered the producers of the program and accused them of being guilty of a “major Campaign Finance Violation.”

“I’ve never seen this before, but the producers of 60 Minutes sliced and diced (‘cut and pasted’) Lyin’ Kamala’s answers to questions, which were virtually incoherent, over and over again, some by as many as four times in a single sentence or thought, all in an effort, possibly illegal as part of the ‘News Division,’ which must be licensed, to make her look ‘more Presidential,’ or a least, better,” the former president wrote on Truth Social.

“It may also be a major Campaign Finance Violation. This is a stain on the reputation of 60 Minutes that is not recoverable – It will always remain with this once storied brand. I have never heard of such a thing being done in ‘News.’ It is the very definition of FAKE NEWS! The public is owed a MAJOR AND IMMEDIATE APOLOGY! This is an open and shut case, and must be investigated, starting today!” he added.

At the heart of all this is CBS News goofing and airing two different answers to the same question by Harris.

“CBS aired two different answers to the same question in its ’60 Minutes’ interview with Vice President Kamala Harris, replacing a clip from the Democratic nominee that aired on ‘Face the Nation’ Sunday when the interview package aired in a primetime special on Monday,” Fox News reported.

“Harris was mocked by conservatives when footage of her offering a lengthy ‘word salad’ that was aired by CBS on Sunday’s ‘Face the Nation’ to promote the ’60 Minutes’ sit-down when Bill Whitaker asked why it seemed like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wasn’t listening to the United States. However, the vice president’s lengthy answer didn’t make the version that aired on Monday night on ’60 Minutes’ and a shorter, more focused answer to the same question was shown instead,” the media outlet continued.

Evidently, CBS spruced up her answer to make Harris look more competent. Not only is that dishonest, but many contend it shows the network is nothing more than a propaganda outlet for the left.

Her first answer on Israel is vintage Harris: “Well Bill, the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region,” Harris said during the “Face the Nation” version.

What CBS did goes beyond editing. The answer was modified when the interview aired Monday night.

“We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end,” Harris stated.

Understandably, the Trump campaign is now calling for the entire unedited interview to be released.
