Ahead of Tuesday’s debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump, a small business advocacy group dropped visual truth bombs about the economy.
Job Creators Network revealed a rotating billboard in New York City’s Times Square, calling attention to the disastrous effects of inflation that Americans have been suffering under thanks to Harris and President Joe Biden.
The billboard ads are designed to “dismantle campaign spin from the Democrats by showing how consumer prices are still rising even as the inflation rate falls,” according to Breitbart News.
“Plotting actual prices alongside the inflation rate on the same graph. The ads refer to the difference as ‘Kamala’s Misery Gap,’” said the group which was started by Home Depot Co-Founder Bernie Marcus.
“The Democrats are attempting to hoodwink the American people into believing that consumer prices are falling by pointing to the moderating inflation rate. But anyone who goes to a grocery store anecdotally knows this is not the case,” Alfredo Ortiz, Job Creators Network CEO, said in a statement.

“Our rotating billboard in Times Square features the real economic data behind the sentiment, visually charting how prices of everything from electricity to food are up big time under the current Biden-Harris administration,” he added, according to Breitbart.
The group blasted Biden and Harris after they accused supermarkets and food manufacturers of “price gouging,” asking, “Are food retailers really price gouging, or is inflation the result of bad government policy?”
“When a company decides what to charge for a jar of peanut butter, it has to consider the prices they pay for peanuts, oil, salt, packaging, transportation, and what they have to pay their employees to make the peanut butter,” a Job Creators Network video said.

“All of those things go into the final price we see on the shelf. Government data shows the price of these input costs have increased at the same elevated rate as consumer costs under the Biden-Harris administration. Food manufacturers and grocers are simply passing along their higher costs to consumers to stay profitable,” the video added.
“If corporate greed isn’t responsible for inflation, what is? Reckless government spending and over-regulation of energy production. Historic deficit spending under the Biden-Harris administration has bid up prices throughout the economy and devalued the currency already in existence. Energy regulations have reduced supply and increased costs,” it continued. “Instead of taking responsibility for causing inflation, Kamala Harris is trying to shift the blame to food companies.”
In response to Harris announcing her plans to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Ortiz said the Democrat nominee’s platform “gives new meaning to the word Orwellian.”
“Kamala Harris is lying to the American people in a desperate attempt to get votes when she claims her platform will lower taxes for the middle class, grow small businesses, and lower energy costs.”https://t.co/pSzkPG4PPn
