The Trump campaign blasted Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz for dropping a “conspiracy theory” about the former president endorsing child labor policies.

The Democratic vice presidential nominee was speaking at Milwaukee’s Labor Fest on Monday when he made a claim connecting former President Donald Trump and “forced child labor,” citing Project 2025.

“New conspiracy theory from Tampon Tim just dropped — President Trump will force children into labor,” the Trump campaign account on X wrote in a post highlighting the remarks by Walz.

“What about the 325K+ migrant children who have gone missing under Kamala — and likely sold into sex and labor trafficking?” the post added, referring to the hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied migrant children who reportedly crossed the southern U.S. border illegally and were released to sponsors across the nation.

Walz again tied Trump to Project 2025, the Heritage Foundation policy blueprint that has nothing to do with the former president who has repeatedly denied any affiliation or endorsement.

“The goals in Project 2025 are clear. It should be subtitled, how to screw the working people,” Walz told the crowd gathered for the annual event sponsored by the Milwaukee County Labor Council.

“Somebody said ‘What’s next, child labor?’ Yeah, it’s in there,” he continued, referring to Project 2025.

“I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it,” Trump wrote on Truth Social back in July. “I have not seen it, have no idea who is in charge of it, and, unlike our very well-received Republican Platform, had nothing to do with it.”

Social media users slammed Walz and Democrats for continuing to peddle lies about Trump and the Project 2025 roadmap while ignoring the dangers the current administration has put migrant children in.

Democrats are encouraging child trafficking with their border policies, so they have to make up a lie about Trump.

He indicated that “it’s in there” referencing Project 2025 (which is not Trump’s agenda). With that said, the only time child labor is referenced in Project 2025 is on page 614. What it says is that they will work to investigate child labor and child trafficking.
