Kamala’s delivery while talking to teens nothing short of ‘painful’

Vice President Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz spoke to high school students as their campaign bus tour took off in Georgia.

Visiting Liberty County High School on Wednesday, the duo addressed students who were part of the school’s marching band, thanking them for being “leaders,” in the community. But Harris may as well have been talking to “toddlers” as she served up another infamous word salad on being part of a team.

Many on social media were dumbfounded by the Democrat nominee’s tone and manner as she spoke to the teens at the Hinesville school.

Harris and Walz inexplicably clapped along as the marching band regaled them with a musical number. Walz addressed the students before introducing Harris who went on to tell the high schoolers that “our country is counting on you.”

“So, you know, I’ve been hearing about you incredible young leaders, for quite some time from the players to those who are bringing joy to everybody in the stands, to the music that you guys are creating. And so we wanted to come by just to let you know that our country is counting on you. All of you,” Harris said.

“But our country is counting on you. All of you,” she continued, punctuating her plodding speech with predictable arm movements and sweeping gestures.

“You are leaders by the very fact that you all are in this room, doing what you do at this incredible school, doing it as one big team, understanding all of the different parts that fit together to create a team. You are doing some of the best work anybody can do. And we are so proud of you. We will be counting on you. Your generation, all that you guys stand for, everything you have at stake, is what is going to propel our country into the next era of what we can do and what we can do,” Harris told the students with dramatic facial expressions as if she was addressing a kindergarten class.

The reaction online to Harris’s words to the high school teens swept social media where even Sen. J.D. Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, dropped a comment.
