MSNBC continues to employ Joy Reid despite her blatant racism and she delivered another hot take via her TikTok account that had many fuming.
The host of “The ReidOut” spoke to her followers from her couch in another TikTok rant expressing her disappointment with Vice President Kamala Harris’s choice for a running mate.
Reid declared that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was “not the pick I expected” and said she preferred Arizona Senator Mark Kelly because he’s as white as “a mayonnaise sandwich on wonder bread.”
The MSNBC host vowed to “keep it real” as she began the video message that sparked plenty of backlash.

“This is not the pick I expected that she would make,” she said, referring to the reported VP finalists of Walz, Kelly and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro.
“I thought she would go astronaut, keeping it real,” Reid continued, saying Kelly “to me would have been the safest, most conventionally safe pick… white, super white.”
“Like a mayonnaise sandwich on wonder bread white,” she clarified.
Kelly “could have made a strong argument for her,” Reid went on, noting that the senator from a border state would have been a plus for Harris in countering critics of her immigration policies.
She thought Shapiro “would have been the riskiest pick” for Harris because he would have angered “so many groups.”
Reid called Walz a “very popular” governor who has led as a “pragmatic progressive” while calling him a moderate in Congress. She also said Minnesota is the “opposite” of red states and enjoys “high levels of happiness.”
Reid claimed Walz is “the pick that makes everyone happy,” and that he was a “heart pick” for Harris.
But all her giddy excitement over Walz and the current Democratic ticket could not drown out the reactions from social media users who were disgusted with her blatant racism.

“Joy Reid is insanely racist,” Libs of TikTok founder Chaya Raichik posted on X.
“After all of the racist remarks Joy Reid has made over the years, she has learned she can get away with it,” the X account Wall Street Silver noted. “MSNBC won’t take any action. She is doing exactly what they want her to do.”
