The launch of a new tool to address political violence from the left included noteworthy groups that had become “something of a partisan cudgel.”

With the coining of the phrase “mostly peaceful protests,” a new era of gaslighting was born that readily turned a blind eye to violence and mayhem if the ends justified the means. Now, the nonprofit group New Tolerance Campaign has launched their interactive “Hate Map” so that the public can see for themselves where “hard left extremism” is taking place and who is responsible.
Speaking with Fox News Digital, the 501(c)(3)’s president Gregory Angelo, formerly of the Log Cabin Republicans, explained, “There are organizations and individuals across the country on the left today who are promoting, inspiring and, in some cases, directly engaging in physical violence against those with whom they disagree.”

According to the watchdog group’s website, “The New Tolerance Campaign tracks hate and hard left extremism in the United States today. Our work is designed to be used as a resource to the media, civil servants, and the general public,” and the map was intended to provide users an “unbiased, detailed account of incidents, ensuring a more balanced and thorough perspective.”
Pegged for facilitating political violence, “perpetrated by leftist organizations,” like Jane’s Revenge, GLAAD, Black Lives Matter, and TRANTIFA, Angelo specifically called out the Southern Poverty Law Center as “something of a partisan cudgel.”
“Whether it’s corporate boardrooms that have been infected by the woke mind virus, whether it is colleges and universities that continue on an ever leftward drift, or activist nonprofits like the ACLU and the Southern Poverty Law Center, who have basically just started carrying water for America’s progressive left, the institutions have been taken over by leftist forces going back decades,” he contended.
Examples provided included the 2017 shooting of Louisiana Rep. Steve Scalise when the suspect, said to be a supporter of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, targeted Republicans practicing for the annual Congressional Baseball Game.
Similarly, Angelo brought up the 2012 shooting at the Family Research Council and, of course, the assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump among the myriad astroturf protests routinely witnessed across the country.
“These were not isolated events. They’re part of a larger pattern of hate and violence promoted by the left,” the NTC president asserted. “We are going to continue to catalog hate and the promotion of violence on the left. Sadly, I don’t think that that number is going to be going down anytime soon. If anything, it’s going to be going up, and we will be here as a resource for members of the media, for elected officials, for everyday Americans, and people in academia to use this in their research when it comes to calling out hate across the country.”
