Sunny Hostin slams ‘disrespectful’ Dems for throwing Biden ‘under the bus’

Democrats are “throwing Joe Biden under the bus” according to “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin who refused to budge in her support for the feeble president.

Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg staunchly defended Biden as co-hosts Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin discussed the likelihood that the president, now diagnosed with COVID, will drop out of the race.

“I will say this, it’s his decision to make. It seems to me that these behind-the-scenes meetings are being leaked intentionally to sort of force his hand,” Hostin said. “I think that’s disrespectful to the president, I think that’s disrespectful to the office.”

U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) joined a chorus of Democrat voices that have already called for Biden to step aside, saying Wednesday that it’s time for him to “pass the torch.”

Reports circulated that Rep. Nancy Pelosi also met with Biden to warn him about losing the presidency – and Congress – if he doesn’t end his re-election bid. The president’s failed debate against former President Donald Trump, which set off panic about the viability of his campaign, has been followed by one disastrous interview, appearance, or speech after another.

“He still has my vote because he has Vice President Harris right next to him who is ready to step into the role of president, God forbid something happened to Joe Biden,” she said.

Pulling out the reliable “existential threat to democracy” posed by Trump, she argued that the focus should be more on Project 2025, the Republican agenda from the Heritage Foundation which she warned is the “scariest thing you will ever read.”

“Democrats, instead of throwing Joe Biden under the bus need to start talking more about the Republican program,” Hostin declared.

Goldberg, meanwhile, admitted that Biden “doesn’t always say the right thing the right way,” but claimed after knowing him for 30 or 40 years, she is not hearing from others “in there with him” that he is not mentally fit for office.

“I don’t care how old you are, I don’t care if you can’t put two sentences together,” she said, “if you get the job done, then I’m gonna follow you.”
