Since Thursday, President Biden has had a remarkably light schedule, with even members of the press remarking that they have seen little of the 81-year-old Democrat.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre held a press gaggle aboard Air Force One late Monday afternoon while en route to a campaign reception Biden attended in White Plains, New York, and was asked about the president’s activities.

“Can you share what [Biden] did today? We didn’t see him all day. There was no schedule of what he did…” a reporter asked.

“What I can say is, as you know, the president, as you know, he made some calls. He called um, he called uh, the newly elected Mexico president — we put out a statement there, and so uh, and so what I can say is that he continues to work on behalf of the American people. That’s something he does day in and day out… I just don’t have anything to say as it’s related to the event today,” KJP said.

There’s a good reason why KJP struggled so mightily to answer the question, the geriatric president did very little from Thursday through Monday.

Biden flew to his beach house in Rehoboth, Delaware, Thursday morning, and outside of traveling, his only scheduled activity that day was receiving the President’s Daily Briefing, according to Roll Call. He spent much of the weekend there and at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, where his son Hunter Biden went on trial Monday for gun charges — First Lady Jill Biden actually showed up in court and sat through jury selection.

On Friday, the president had a more strenuous day, returning to the White House to host the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and meet with Belgium Prime Minister Alexander De Croo, before beating a hasty retreat to his beach home.

Aside from traveling the president’s schedule from Saturday through Monday included a single entry of receiving the President’s Daily Brief on Saturday and Monday, until the 7 p.m. campaign reception.

But this lethargic pace is really nothing new.

The New York Post reported on Sept. 2, 2023: “Biden has spent all or part of 382 of his presidency’s 957 days – or 40% — on personal overnight trips away from the White House, putting him on pace to become America’s most idle commander-in-chief.”
