J6 defendant hilariously trolls Fauci at COVID hearing: ‘The Brandon we ought to root for’

Strategic seating “stole the show” at Dr. Anthony Fauci’s hearing Monday as a face-maker’s Capitol breach connection triggered the former bureaucrat.

“Now what’s somebody like that doing at a hearing about COVID?”

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R) line of questioning wasn’t the only thing to irk the retired decades-long director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. While the hearing of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic fell considerably short of finding accountability for the draconian policies imposed on the American people, for many, a Jan. 6 defendant’s public mockery of Fauci was nothing short of cathartic.

Throughout the lockdown, mask and jab-defending hearing, the man seen over the former NIAID director’s left shoulder shaking his head and making pouty faces, among others, was identified as Brandon Fellows, who “stole the show during Fauci’s House Subcommittee hearing as he trolled Fauci for the cameras, making crybaby faces.”

WUSA9 reported in February that the Jan. 6 participant was a chimney repairman from Schenectady, New York, who had entered the U.S. Capitol building through a broken window and proceeded to Oregon Sen. Jeff Merkley’s (D) office where he was said to have smoked marijuana.

After being convicted in August 2023 of one felony count of obstruction of an official proceeding and four misdemeanors that included disorderly conduct and entering and remaining within the U.S. Capitol and on Capitol grounds, the defendant himself made note of his recent supervised release from incarceration and the expectation of a dismissal of his felony record.

“For every democrat hilariously freaking out that I was sitting so close to mass murderer Fauchi… Yes I’m a felon, but only until the Supreme Court dismissed the felony later this month,” he posted on X referencing Fischer v. United States that could potentially negate obstruction charges brought against those who’d entered the Capitol. “Look up the opening statements of USA V Fisher… My supervised release is about to end.”

During his appearance on CNN’s “The Source” Monday evening, Fauci played up his record as a public servant and threats against his family with particular umbrage against Greene. Host Kaitlan Collins saw fit to bring up Fellows during the interview and referenced the attendee’s remark that Fauci should be in prison as he was escorted out.

Though Fauci claimed he hadn’t heard the comment, the face of the COVID response said, “But it was brought to my attention before, and there was also someone behind me — I don’t know if it was the same person — who was identified as someone who just got out of jail for being arrested for the January 6 attack on the Capitol. Now what’s somebody like that doing at a hearing about COVID?”

Meanwhile, as Fellows was led out of the hearing a little more than three hours after Fauci was seated, the bureaucrat expressed on the record in response to the prison remark, “What is that? Do we need to listen to that?”
