Dr. Phil McGraw delivered an impassioned call to save the “soul and sanity” of the nation while urging President Biden to dismiss his rival’s conviction.
In a blistering monologue on his “Dr. Phil Primetime” show, the longtime TV host ripped into the “weaponization” of the justice system to convict former President Donald Trump on 34 felony charges of falsifying business records.
McGraw contended that a “tit-for-tat” response to the historic conviction is not the answer but that Americans should call on their elected leaders to put “an end to this craziness to save the collective soul and sanity” of the country.
McGraw shared a clip on X and said he does not “advocate voting for one candidate over another” but is focused on turning “this ship of state called America in the right direction.”
I don’t advocate voting for one candidate over another.
I stay in my lane, addressing human behavior collectively and culturally, focusing on how we can have maximum control in our lives and turn this ship of state called America in the right direction, getting her back on… pic.twitter.com/tsob0o31V2

“We need our Justice Department to return to the business of meting out justice and not running the political agendas of those currently in power,” the psychologist and lifestyle strategist said.
“We are not some banana republic, for God’s sake,” he continued. “What are we gonna do next? Find a ‘Putin poisoning posse’ and start finding political opponents foaming at the mouth at home, not so mysteriously dying in their La-Z-Boy recliners?”
He went on to call on both sides of the political aisle to get a reality check.
“Let’s be honest, this is so not just about Trump. If you let your hatred for Donald Trump compromise your ability to find true north on your moral compass, shame on you,” he said. “If you let your disgust for Biden make you blind to the inevitable consequences of pursuing revenge, then God help the children who will inherit the dystopian nightmare we create.”
McGraw urged leaders to stand up and “end this vicious cycle right now,” rescuing American institutions from being “bastardized and weaponized.”
He also warned that those in power will be watched by Americans to be sure they are doing the jobs they were hired or elected to do, adding, “They work for us until they don’t.”
The host reiterated that he is not politically motivated, explaining that “I stay in my lane, addressing human behavior collectively and culturally.”
McGraw concluded by addressing the Biden administration directly in his appeal to heal the nation.
“The current administration could and should do the right thing: Dismiss now, even now, post-conviction of a political opponent, all such lawfare and pledge to return to the normal functioning of a government rightly run,” he said.
Trump will face sentencing on July 11 as the historic first continues to unfold months from a presidential election in which he will likely be named the Republican nominee. Each of the 34 charges against him carries a maximum sentence of four years but, in a state where suspects in violent crimes are released daily on zero bail, the fact that leftists are salivating over Trump behind bars is telling.
Dr. Phil’s remarks found an appreciative audience on social media where many hoped his message would be heard. Some noted that justice still needs to be served.
This speech just brought genuine tears to my eyes, Dr Phil.
Why are we letting the servants act like rulers?

I’ve been waiting for the adult in the room to stand up since 2015.
I had no idea it would be Dr. Phil.

I never suspected I’d be a Dr. Phil fan. Never saw it coming, but I love this guy! He always makes sense!

Trump will not dish out revenge, but he better hand out justice. We can’t allow all that has happened between covid, border invasion and government weaponization against citizens to go unpunished.

Fact: Conservatives can forgive and move on because it is in their nature.
Leftists can’t because they need to control every aspect of every part of society

Dr., I respect and admire your position here. And much of me agrees with it.
However, there is a clear trend of elected officials seeming to be above the law.
While I don’t want DOJ weaponized politically, these issues need addressing.
But where do we draw the line?
