Bill Clinton announces new memoir and the ridicule rains down in buckets

Former President Bill Clinton announced that he’s penned an upcoming memoir on his life since leaving the White House, including coming clean on “mistakes” he’s made.

The nation’s 42nd president’s new book “Citizen: My Life After the White House” is set to be released in November after the election and should be a real page-turner although some social media users aren’t sold that it will be a truly in-depth account from the man who once wagged his finger in Americans’ faces and insisted “I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky.”

“My last 23 years have been fascinating, filled with family life and foundation work, with heroes and heartbreak. In CITIZEN I tell stories of my life and work after the White House and the people who inspire me to keep going every day. Writing it has been a labor of love and I can’t wait to share it with everyone in November,” wrote Slick Willie on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“A life in public service can be deeply rewarding if you accept that in the constant ebb and flow of history there are no permanent victories or defeats,” Clinton said in a statement, according to The Hill, “and never forget that every life is a story that, regardless of time and circumstance, deserves to be seen and heard.”

The mockery rained down in buckets as X users reacted to Bill’s big announcement.

“Citizen is Clinton’s front-row, first-person chronicle of his post-presidential years and the most significant events of the twenty-first century, including 9/11 and the runup to the Iraq War, the Haiti earthquake, the Great Recession, COVID-19, the January 6th insurrection, and the enduring culture wars of our times. Yet Citizen is more than a presidential memoir,” reads the Amazon description of the book.

“These pages capture Clinton in a rare and unforgettable light: not only as a celebrated former president and foundation leader, but also as a father, grandfather, and husband. He shares his support for Hillary Clinton during her tenure as senator, secretary of state, and presidential candidate, and openly details the frustration and pain of the 2016 election, the description adds.

“Citizen: My Life After the White House” hits bookshelves on November 19. Advance orders for the hardcover will set you back a whopping 38 bucks but for those who aren’t leftists wanting to show it off on their coffee tables, the Kindle edition is much cheaper.

  1. It is a miracle I tell ya. All these years of being questioned about his not so legal doings and he can now finally remember enough to do a book. What are the chances there will be any truth to it.
