Minneapolis school district on black students beating white middle schooler: ‘There’ll be some conflicts’

Scenes from a Minnesota middle school were met with radio silence after a white student was violently ganged up on and the incident remained unreported.

Nearly four years have passed since the death of George Floyd in police custody and a new video from a suburb of Minneapolis appeared to show how racial uproar continued to be a one-way street. While COVID restrictions that had shuttered businesses had been disregarded for a national campaign to push the BLM agenda in 2020, a white student getting assaulted by a group of black students at East Ridge Middle School in Savage, Minnesota needed social media to get coverage.

In the viral video shared by CrimeWatchMpls, the apparent victim could be seen pushed up against lockers while surrounded as his assailants laugh as they pummel him, noting, “We’re told this assault on a student by several others took place on Friday.”

In addition to the motivation behind the attack remaining unspecified, the Daily Mail reported on the incident and confirmed after reaching out to the school and local law enforcement that the incident had not been reported to the Savage Police Department.

Responding to a post on their Facebook page, ISD 191 wrote, “Violent behavior is absolutely unacceptable at Eagle Ridge and all District 191 schools. When this incident occurred, staff intervened immediately and nearby students took appropriate actions so that the incident didn’t escalate and it ended quickly. School administration has investigated, and will follow school policies and procedures for student behavior as outlined in the student handbook. As always, we can’t share private student data.”

“Unfortunately, in a school with hundreds of teens and pre-teens, there will be some conflicts,” the district continued. “Our goal as educators is to make sure students know what’s expected and that they have the skills and support to manage those conflicts peacefully and productively so everyone has the safe learning environment they deserve.”

Meanwhile, a Missouri community was still reeling from the brutal beating of 16-year-old Kaylee Gain who had been hospitalized with a skull fracture. As had been reported, the crowdfunding site raising money for the girl’s medical treatment detailed, “In minutes, this family’s life shattered when their only daughter was assaulted outside of a North County high school. She was left alone on the ground to convulse before EMTs arrived on the scene. She was admitted to one of the local hospitals in Saint Louis with a skull fracture and frontal lobe damage.”

The underreported incident from Friday prompted many on social media to decry the biased media which routinely drummed up racial tension for certain victims while taking great lengths to downplay race when roles were seemingly reversed.

“This is a hate crime. If the races were reversed we would already have heard statements from Joe Biden, Kamal Harris and many Democrat politicians. In stead, there’s complete silence,” wrote one user. “Our leaders hate Americans and hate white people. They’ve made that abundantly clear.”
