Kanye West may have gotten more than merely the cold shoulder from celebrities at the Super Bowl after an alleged attempt to once again upstage Taylor Swift.
More crossed stars than star-crossed, the rapper and pop star found their paths converge anew at Allegiant Stadium Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada. With tension dating back to the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, former NFL wide receiver Brandon Marshall suggested West had tried to capitalize on that before he was allegedly booted from his seat.
Joining the “Paper Route” podcast, Marshall errantly referred to Swift as Katy Perry before correcting himself when he claimed, “Kanye West buys a ticket right in front of [Taylor Swift’s] booth, so any time they were going to be showing [Taylor Swift], Kanye’s face was going to be there.”
“He had a mask on with his logo on the mask, right? Typical Kanye. So Taylor Swift gets pissed off. She, boom boom, makes a call or two, everybody’s involved,” the former professional athlete continued before dropping the claim. “He gets kicked out the stadium…Hot tea, hot tea…He was trying to leverage her celebrity to make some…so now you gotta go back to their beef.”

West had infamously jumped on stage at the VMA’s when Swift was accepting her award for Video of the Year to voice his opinion that Beyoncé’s “Single Ladies” was “one of the greatest videos of all time.”
The rapper kept the incident alive in his Grammy Award-nominated 2016 song “Famous” that included the lyrics “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b*tch famous.”
A representative for West denied the claims from Marshall and told TMZ, “This is a completely fabricated rumor. It is not true.” At the very least, his ongoing attendance at the big game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers was said to be readily ignored by other celebrities.

According to a report from Page Six, the controversial entertainer, who recently crossed Ozzy Osbourne for allegedly sampling the rocker’s music without permission, may have been suite-hopping while adorned with a full head covering bearing a white crucifix-style emblem over his face.
“Kanye West is being shunned by the Hollywood elite, it seems,” wrote the outlet adding they had heard, “awkwardly enough — the Klan-hood-wearing vocal antisemite unexpectedly turned up in chicken chain Raising Cane’s Super Bowl suite to watch the game alongside many, many other famous names on Sunday.”
Referring to Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio as a “longtime pal” of West, a source “definitively” told Page Six “There’s was no interaction whatsoever” between the actor and rapper despite the latter having once performed at the former’s birthday party.
Other celebrities spotted in the suite included Wayne Gretzky, Tiffany Haddish, Vince Vaughn, Tobey Maguire, Ashanti and Nelly.
