Joy Reid claims Nikki Haley lost Iowa because of racism in MSNBC meltdown

Sticking to her schtick, MSNBC’s in-house race-baiter lamented “birthered” Nikki Haley’s Iowa loss alongside her fellow panelists’ meltdowns.

As corporate media analyzed the election results from Monday’s caucus, even as some reportedly had yet to cast a vote, Joy Reid demonstrated how pre-baked the talking points were when her chance to weigh in spoke to “the elephant in the room.”

“She’s still a brown lady that’s gotta try to win in a party that is deeply anti-immigrant and which accepts the notion that you can say immigrants are poisoning the blood of our country,” decried the host of “The Reid Out” as it became apparent former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley would finish in a distant third behind former President Donald Trump and fall short of surpassing Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for second.

“She’s getting, you know, ‘birthered’ by Donald Trump and I don’t care how much the donor class likes her, which will ramp up a lot the better she does in New Hampshire,” Reid continued, peppering in the caveat that the former diplomat’s campaign did not resonate well with average GOP voters, “so it’s still a challenge.”

Further straying from the candidates’ respective records to push identity politics, the MSNBC host contended, “I don’t see how she becomes the nominee of that party with Donald Trump still around. I can’t picture it happening. Maybe it could happen. Ron DeSantis’ only argument for staying in it is he’s the white guy, that he can still make the appeal to white evangelicals.”

The one-trick pony had blamed white Christians writ large elsewhere in the night when she bemoaned, “This is a state that is over-represented by white Christians that are going to participate in these caucuses, especially tonight.”

Hardly alone in seeking a safe space while reacting to the results, MSNBC host Rachel Maddow polished her spiel denying the overreach from President Joe Biden’s administration to continue framing Trump as a modern-day Adolf Hitler.

“The big picture takeaway from that, and I don’t mean to be again, too dark as you said on this…if we are worried about the rise of authoritarianism in this country, we are worried about potential rise of fascism in this country, if we’re worried about our democracy falling to an authoritarian and potentially fascist form of government, the leader who is trying to do that is part of that equation,” she said before misrepresenting and maligning voters in support of Trump. “But people wanting that is a much bigger part of that equation.”

As has been MSNBC’s wont throughout the Trump campaign, when it came time for the president to speak they decided to be the arbiter’s of what might be noteworthy from his victory speech and opted against airing it live.

Complaints from the on-air personalities were matched by social media users who called out the coverage as they saw it, “They hate Christians, we all know it. The @FBI has made this very apparent. I know they read these, hey guys…”

Others pointed out, “There are also too many racist leftists on MSNBC.”
