Elon Musk: ‘In the USA, you don’t need govt. issued ID to vote and you can mail in your ballot. This is insane’

Elon Musk triggered leftists when he commented on the “insane” laws in some states that allow voting without showing any identification.

The billionaire owner of X dropped his thoughts on the social media platform on Monday, seeming to have suddenly come to a realization about state voter ID laws which was mostly true.

“In the USA, you don’t need government issued ID to vote and you can mail in your ballot,” Musk wrote. “This is insane.”

Almost immediately, he was attacked for creating “a new conspiracy” as leftists melted down.

While the voter ID laws Musk referred to are not the same in all states, the point he was making seemed easy enough for many to understand. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton provided some context.

The Tesla/Space X CEO engaged with some in further comments on X.

Many pointed to the obvious in Musk’s initial reaction to voter ID laws, including Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy.
