Judge orders names of more than 170 Epstein-connected individuals to be released

The names of former employees and even victims of Jeffrey Epstein are set to be revealed in the coming weeks as previously sealed documents will reportedly be released.

“Judge Loretta Preska on Monday ordered the release of the trove of long-sealed documents in the since-settled defamation lawsuit that Epstein accuser Virginia Roberts Giuffre brought against the convicted pedophile’s madam, Ghislaine Maxwell, back in 2015,” the New York Post reported, noting there will be more than 170 names.

“Under the ruling, dozens of individuals — who have previously only been identified as ‘Jane Does or ‘John Does’ in various court filings linked to the suit — will likely be identified when materials tied to them are ‘unsealed in full,'” the outlet added.

Monday’s order allows the individuals 14 days to make any appeals to the decision.

“The Court stays its order for fourteen days to permit any impacted Doe the opportunity to appeal, after which counsel are asked to confer, prepare the documents for unsealing pursuant to this order, and post the documents on the docket,” the order reads.

While there have been a number of people whose names will be released who have already spoken publicly about their connection to the late sex offender, others named in the documents have remained anonymous.

Still others will continue to be protected because unsealing their names, according to the judge, would “disclose sensitive information regarding an alleged minor victim of sexual abuse who has not spoken publicly and who has maintained his or her privacy.”

“The documents in the case have been released on a rolling basis since 2019 when the first batch were made public days before Epstein also hanged himself in prison while awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges,” Daily Mail reported.

One of the Jane Does listed is reportedly Johanna Sjoberg, whom the judge essentially named as Jane Doe 162 and whose previous depositions have proved damning for the UK’s Prince Andrew.

“The material is related to a defamation case brought by Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Roberts in New York against Epstein’s madam Ghislaine Maxwell,” Daily Mail noted.

“Roberts sued Maxwell for defamation in 2016 and while the case was settled, The Miami Herald – which published a bombshell expose of Epstein that led to his arrest in 2019 – sued to get the documents made public,” the outlet continued. “Some of the Does are identified in the ruling through links to interviews they have given to the media, which the judge cited as a reason why they should not stay private.”

Depositions, emails, legal materials and other documents are expected to be part of the trove of records to be released. The damning new list of names comes out as investigators get closer to learning who was in Epstein’s inner circle.

The anticipation on social media was almost palpable.
