The View co-host Ana Navarro appeared to outrageously compare former co-host Meghan McCain to Hunter Biden when it comes to influence peddling on Thursday’s episode.
McCain was not mentioned by name, but it seemed pretty apparent she was the one that Navarro was referring to when discussing the first son, who made a public statement at the Capitol on Wednesday instead of complying with a subpoena from House Republicans.
The reference seems starkly out of place considering Meghan McCain was the late Senator John McCain’s daughter and was not involved in any reported scandals that benefited her. The same cannot be said of Hunter Biden whose shady foreign business deals appear to have benefitted his father and his family as well as himself. He also has a penchant for hookers and drugs, something that cannot be said of Meghan McCain. The comparison shocked the other co-hosts.
The women of The View called out Hunter Biden for influence peddling and the appearance of corruption if not the actual committing of it. But Navarro took it a step much, much further after claiming how loving Joe Biden is toward his son.

While discussing the investigation into Hunter Biden and the president, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, said she thinks Hunter did “engage in corruption,” but she hasn’t seen “one shred of evidence” tied to Joe Biden. That’s when Navarro had her say.
She contended, “Joe Biden’s crime is being Hunter Biden’s father.”
“Look, did Hunter Biden influence peddle on his last name? Yes, he did. So did half of Washington. People sitting at this table did it!” Navarro asserted.
At that point, you could see the confusion cross the faces of the panelists as Navarro attempted to continue. They just couldn’t let that one go.
Co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin dared to ask her, “Who at this table peddled on their last name?”
“I’m not talking about currently,” Navarro responded.

Co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg got the reference immediately it seemed.
Navarro continued to defend Hunter Biden, noting in response to his tax charges that over 15% of Americans cheat on their taxes. She then accused Republicans of trying to make him slip back into addiction.
“They are trying to get Hunter Biden to go back into addiction because they know that will paralyze Joe Biden because that is his father, a man who has already lost two children, and I think this is going to backfire on Republicans,” Navarro stated. “Yes, Hunter Biden did bad things when he was an addict, but enough is enough and they are being cruel. They are going after him just because he is Joe Biden’s son.”
The exchange and accusation caught the attention of Meghan McCain on X and she proceeded to let loose with a vengeance.
