At a congressional hearing on December 5th, the presidents of some of our highest institutions of “learning” in the United States were testifying, including from Harvard, The University of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Claudine Gay of Harvard stated that “Anti-Semitism is a symptom of ignorance.” Yet, when asked a very simple question by Congresswoman Stefanik, as to whether student groups calling for “the genocide of the Jews” constituted a violation of Harvard’s rules against bullying and harassment, Dr. Gay stated, “It depends on the context.” When similarly pressed with the same question, President Liz Magill, of UPenn answered the same: “It depends on the context.” Both presidents went on to engage in “Ph.D. speak: “the universities are dedicated to diversity and inclusion; making safe space for every view; and for free expression…” When asked if student groups calling for the global death of the Jews constituted harassment, they both answered, “If the threats are acted on…” Perhaps they need to see and count the 1,400 slain Israelis who were massacred on October 7th.
These “educators” have allowed radical students to paint swastikas on university buildings and bar Jews from classrooms; they have allowed campus gangs to march with banners stating: “From the River to the Sea,” code for eliminating Israel; they have allowed professors to chant: “There is one solution: Intifada, Revolution!” They have allowed co-eds to spit on and beat undefended Jews on their campuses. Yet, no professor has been fired from their position. No student groups have been banned from campuses, and no student has been expelled.
It appears these educators do not have the education to know right from wrong or how to deal with it. Here is an example of something wrong, something utterly evil:
A 39-year-old man’s experience, at the music festival of October 7,th has finally been published this week by the media. He was an eyewitness as a young Israeli woman, who had the “face of an angel,” was repeatedly raped and beaten by a gang of 8 to 10 terrorists; until she screamed: “Stop it already! I’m going to die anyway from what you are doing… just kill me!” The gang of terrorists laughed at her… and then shot her in the face. Another woman who was similarly serially raped, had her head chopped off with a shovel, while the terrorist erupted again in laughter. These are the terrorists that university students, student groups and tenured professors on America’s best universities are supporting.
One would think such unspeakable, brutal acts of inhuman cruelty would elicit a profound moral clarity. Yet, we also have an administration in Washington DC that is just as ambivalent about the evil posed by visceral terrorism towards the Jews as our “finest” educators are.
Immediately after October 7th, President Biden vowed to support Israel, and embraced their plans for self-defense. Since then, that same embrace has been used to hold Israel back from defeating this evil.
As Israeli Defense Forces are moving through the mazes of Hamas’ deathly labyrinths in Gaza, in hopes of freeing more hostages, they are finding the terrorists consistently taking up positions under Mosques, under Hospitals and Schools, which is act that is against the international rules of warfare. Yet, President Biden’s Administration is demanding that Israel play by rules of engagement that are above the international rules and are frankly impossible in the middle of an urban war zone.
The Administration says it wants to send Israel aid, yet they tie conditions to the aid which would blunt Israel’s fighting capacity. The Administration says it wants the defeat of Hamas, while demanding Israel allow shipments of aid into Gaza, which might serve to re-arm the terrorists. The Administration echoes the leaders of Hamas, who are presently in hiding in the luxurious hotels of Qatar, by pressuring Israel to immediately consider another cease-fire, which would give Hamas time to reorganize themselves…
And there is a wider stage which demands a moral clarity and courage necessary to this moment that is never displayed by the Biden Administration.
The financiers and planners of the atrocities of October 7th are the Iranian Ayatollahs, the same who have been maiming and killing American troops in the Middle East for 45 years, the same Ayatollahs this administration is afraid to name. It is the same Iran that funds and arms terrorist activities through 20 different proxies that surround every meter of Israel’s borders, including Hezbollah, which has fired over 10,000 rockets into Israel, since the massacre. Iran has attacked U.S. troops directly on 76 occasions throughout the wider Middle East and the Biden Administration’s answer is to offer to unfreeze another $10 Billion, so the Ayatollahs may be appeased… and can further arm the proxies our ally Israel is fighting.
Perhaps it is we who need some understanding: our educators exist on campuses wherein reality never exists. And these Democrat appeasers live and work within the securest halls modern technology affords and never suffer assaults such as Israel and the Jews on American University campuses face every single day.
Or perhaps it is time these lecturers be told something every American farmer knows: what you feed grows…
In the upcoming 2024 elections, there is one other simple truth that every one of these universities and Democrat politicians should be made to learn: America is no country for cowards!
