‘Seriously funny’: Leftists mercilessly mocked for vowing to boycott Home Depot over GOP support

The left is trying to whip up a fresh frenzy against Home Depot, calling for boycotts after reports that the home improvement company dared to donate $1 million to Republicans.

Home Depot joined an impressive who’s who of companies, such as General Motors, Boeing, AT&T, Comcast and United Parcel Service (UPS), to make the list of those donating to the “Sedition Caucus,” those who refused to certify President Joe Biden’s election victory on January 6, 2021. This term was bestowed upon the lawmakers and committees by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) which released a list of corporations making donations to the “caucus.”

“Congratulations to @HomeDepot, which has officially donated $1,000,000 to support the members of Congress who voted not to certify the results of the 2020 election,” CREW posted to X on Wednesday. “Bankrolling the Sedition Caucus is a choice, and Home Depot has doubled down!”

Naturally, the rabid lefties jumped on the bandwagon.

Harvard University law professor emeritus Laurence Tribe said he would be boycotting “for sure” while journalist Ed Krassenstein was “Just trying to figure out the rules of the game.”

But saner voices on the social media platform drummed up a fitting response to the calls for a boycott.
