‘Sore loser’: Lefty Loudon County prosecutor slammed for prolonged public tantrum since humiliating loss

Former Loudoun County Commonwealth’s Attorney Buta Biberaj is still spitting fire after her election defeat, spewing hate-filled posts at her enemies on social media.

The embattled, Soros-backed incumbent lost her bid to Republican challenger Bob Anderson, himself a former Loudoun County attorney, earlier this month. But the Democrat appears to have no plans to go gentle into that good night as she has been trolling critics online and letting her bitterness all hang out.

Among her many posts to X, Biberaj even took a shot at Scott Smith, the Loudoun County father who made headlines when he was arrested in 2021 at a school board meeting when he criticized school officials after his daughter was sexually assaulted in a bathroom at her high school by a boy wearing a skirt.

“Buta Biberaj was rejected by voters because she lost their trust to do the job, fostered a culture of chaos and instability in her office, refused to take crime seriously, and intentionally misled the public,” the Republican Party of Virginia noted before the election.

While Republicans lost the House in Virginia and failed to flip the Senate, Biberaj’s loss was a silver lining as the progressive prosecutor failed to secure a second term as attorney.

She took to social media to unload her anger at the haters.

“National criminal justice reform advocates had promoted Biberaj as a success story who has overseen drops in both violent crime and the jail population during her term, while conservatives accused her of botching high-profile cases and imperiling public safety, especially after she sent a memo to Loudoun County judges in January announcing her office would stop prosecuting ‘low-level, nonviolent offenses’ such as drug possession and petty theft to focus resources on violent crimes,” The Washington Post reported after the election.

“Some fellow Democrats, including the chair of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, had criticized Biberaj for her management style and dealings with other agencies,” WaPo continued. “And Biberaj sometimes courted controversy, personally pursuing a disorderly conduct charge against the father of a girl who was raped in a high school bathroom after the father had angrily lashed out at a school board meeting, and then sparring with him on social media after a judge disqualified her from the case because of concerns she might be biased. Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) pardoned the father in September.”

In her social media attacks, Biberaj was especially fired up at Ian Prior, the author of “Parents of the World Unite,” and senior adviser at America First Legal.

“Outgoing Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney Buta Biberaj should put down the box of Franzia and finish up the next 6 weeks with some degree of dignity,” Prior had posted, prompting the outgoing attorney to snark, “why are you still grifting???”

He triggered the Democrat again when he told her to “get a job.”

“Tell me a bit more about the details of your conversation when you were bashing the judges of the Loudoun County Circuit Court?” Prior fired back.

Biberaj replied by telling him “how little you are” and calling out his purported “lies,”
