Shortly after Owen Shroyer was heard describing his “life on the outside” of solitary confinement, he was reportedly thrown back in.
“Shroyer last week began his 60-day prison sentence for his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riots and was placed in solitary confinement for a week at the Federal Correctional Institution Oakdale in Louisiana,” Newsweek reported.
He shared a short message on X Tuesday after being released into the prison’s general population.
“I’m much more concerned about what’s going on out there,” he said in the recorded phone call.”I’m extremely blessed because your prayers have come through.”
But Shroyer was back in solitary following the release of the recording, according to Human Events editor Jack Posobiec.

“To try to express how important it is or what it means to me would simply be impossible. I do somehow plan to show you how grateful I am for that,” the Infowars host had said.
“My shirt has grown. I have to wear a double XL shirt now because my heart has grown so much from your fan mail. And also, I’m now wearing double XL pants because, well, I’ll just leave that up for your interpretation,” he said, adding that people “continue to send me the fan mail and uplift me… it’s all thanks to your letters.”
He spoke about being in solitary confinement in the message.
“Of course, that’s being hyperbolic since I’m still on the inside, but when you spend seven days in solitary, getting out and into a jail and being able to move feels like the outside. It was bitter cold today… but let me tell you, the 40 degrees wind and rain couldn’t have felt any more refreshing than it did,” he said.
“The radio host was sentenced in September for ‘amping up’ the mob with chants that furthered the riot at a sensitive moment during the January 6 riots that were a protest against the defeat of President Donald Trump in the 2020 elections,” Newsweek noted. “Prosecutors said even though Shroyer did not enter the Capitol, many of his fans who listened to him did and he eventually pled guilty to breaching restricted grounds.”
