‘Lord Protect Me’: Former director of Black Voices for Trump is held in jail WITHOUT bond

One of former President Donald Trump’s 18 co-defendants in the Georgia election case has remained in jail after turning himself in on Thursday.

Hours before the former president arrived at the Fulton County Jail, Harrison Floyd, once the director of “Black Voices for Trump” was booked but then held without bond.

According to WXIA:

Also known as Willie Lewis Floyd III, he served as director of Black Voices for Trump, and is accused of recruiting Stephen Lee to arrange a meeting with election worker Ruby Freeman and Chicago-based publicist Trevian Kutti.

Freeman was in the midst of a harassment campaign by those falsely accusing her of fraud at State Farm Arena on election night, according to the RICO indictment, and prosecutors charge Floyd, Lee and Kutti with trying to manipulate her under charges including conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings influencing witnesses.

The 39-year-old reportedly had not pre-arranged a bond and will be held at the jail until a judge can grant one whenever he finally makes a court appearance, which is currently not clear.

But there appears to be a further complication to Floyd’s case, as The Washington Post reported that he was charged earlier this year for attacking an FBI agent.

The agent was working on the parallel probe by Special Counsel Jack Smith into alleged 2020 election interference. The altercation reportedly occurred as agents arrived at Floyd’s Rockville, Maryland home with a subpoena for him to appear before a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C.

“The affidavit accuses Floyd of body-slamming an agent and hurling expletives at the agent and his colleague,” The Washington Post reported. “‘WHO THE F— DO YOU THINK YOU ARE,’ Floyd allegedly screamed, standing ‘chest to chest’ with an agent after knocking him backward with his body.”

Floyd is the only one of the 19 co-defendants in the Georgia case leveled by District Attorney Fani Willis to not have arranged bond. Days before the indictments came down, Floyd tweeted, “The receipts dont lie, and the best is yet to come,” in response to a comment by Lincoln Project’s Rick Wilson.

On his way to turn himself in on Thursday, he posted a video on social media captioned, “Lord Protect Me While Im in These Streets.”

The D.A.’s office in Fulton County has reportedly not released any information about Floyd’s situation but plenty of Twitter/X users had something to say. Many expressed concern over the possibility that Floyd could not afford bail while some decried his detainment as racism.
