Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) is not winning points with conservatives, torpedoing his already minuscule chances of clinching the 2024 GOP nomination for the presidency by attacking Republican governors standing against gender transitioning for minors.

On Thursday, Christie appeared on “Fox & Friends” where host Brian Kilmeade asked him, “Your thoughts about the push in Florida and Arkansas to make it illegal to do it for kids under 18?”
“Brian, you know, I just don’t want to see our government getting more and more intrusive in everybody’s life, getting bigger,” he responded.
“I don’t think anything can replace parents when you’re talking about major decisions that are needs to be made by our children. And I will tell you this. I want all parents out there to think about something. How many other decisions do you want the government making for you in your home regarding your kids? I don’t want any of those decisions made by the government. Parents are the ones who love their children the most, who care about their children the most, who understand their children the most. And parents should be the ones making these decisions,” Christie declared.
He did not address the fact that many times it is not the parents making those decisions or that mutilating an underage child amounts to child abuse.

Chris Christie was on Fox this morning and doubled down on his atrocious position regarding trans care.

“So if a 14-year-old comes home and says, I really want to start switching genders, that’s the parent’s decision?” Kilmeade asked Christie who doubled down on his stance.
“I’ll tell you, it’s more of a parent’s decision than it’s a governor’s decision, for goodness sakes, Brian, you really think that Sarah Huckabee Sanders should be making this decision for children in Arkansas?” he said, taking a swipe at the Christian governor of Arkansas.
He then tried to soften that attack and failed.
“I love Sarah. I think she’s a great person and a really good governor. But I don’t think she would ever allow the government to substitute her judgment as a mother for their judgment. And that’s what I’m saying. I would want any government official coming in and telling me what decisions I could help my child through and how I should do it. And I want those decisions to be made by parents, not by the government,” Christie concluded.
He didn’t just take that stance on “Fox & Friends” either. Acting more like he was running for the Democratic nomination than for the GOP, Christie took his anti-conservative message to CNN on Father’s Day.

“I don’t think that the government should ever be stepping in to the place of the parents in helping to move their children through a process where those children are confused or concerned about their gender. What I would like to make sure each state does is require that parents are involved in these decisions,” he told Jake Tapper last Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“The fact is that folks who are under the age of 18 should have parental support and guidance and love as they make all the key decisions of their life, and this should not be one that excluded by the government in any way,” Christie asserted.
Christie has been stepping in it everywhere when it comes to Republicans.
He was also booed at a faith-based event when he savaged former President Trump.

“I’m running because he’s let us down,” Christie told a crowd at the Faith & Freedom Coalition event on Friday, referring to Trump. “He has let us down because he’s unwilling to take responsibility for any of the mistakes that were made and any of the faults that he has and any of the things he’s done, and that is not leadership everybody. That is a failure of leadership.”
That’s when the booing and jeering began.
“You can boo all you want,” he clapped back. “But here’s the thing. Our faith teaches us that people have to take responsibility for what they do. People have to stand up and take accountability for what they do.”
Christie then listed the “great list of Americans” who worked in the Trump administration but have publicly turned against him, including former Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis.

“We love Trump,” someone in the crowd yelled as Christie spoke.
“You can love him all you want,” he responded. “But I will tell you that doing those kinds of things makes our country smaller.”
