Senior NBC News correspondent Brandy Zadrozny is adamantly denying that she is blaming Fox News host Tucker Carlson and Libs of TikTok for the horrific shooting at the LGBTQ-friendly “Club Q” in Colorado Springs over the weekend where 5 people died, even though it looks like she did exactly that.
The Washington Free Beacon tweeted, “NBC News senior reporter @BrandyZadrozny blames @libsoftiktok and @TuckerCarlson for the mass shooting over the weekend ‘It starts from some smaller accounts online like Libs of TikTok, it moves to the right-wing blogosphere, and then it ends up on Tucker Carlson.'”
Zadrozny shot back, “This absolutely not true and if you had a shred of legitimacy you’d delete and correct. I won’t hold my breath.”
Libs of TikTok went on to answer Zadrozny’s accusation by telling her, “Brandy says that the thing she just said she didn’t really say. @BrandyZadrozny you can’t gaslight us. It’s literally on video.”

The video where Zadrozny takes a swipe at Carlson and Libs of TikTok appears to say exactly what the Washington Free Beacon tweeted.
“Hateful and violent online rhetoric targeting LGBTQ people has been ratcheting up for months. Now, just hours after a deadly mass shooting at #ClubQ, the worst of these hate accounts, LibsofTikTok is targeting another drag event in Colorado,” Zadrozny also tweeted Sunday.
The tweet by Libs of TikTok that she is referring to read, “This organization in Colorado teaches kids how to become drag queens and helps kids ‘safely experience the art of drag on stage.’ Colorado state reps @leslieherod and @BriannaForCO promoted and encouraged this child drag organization and performance.”

“I’ve been following this since about March and April,” the reporter stated. “We follow online hate trends, I guess. And since April and March, really the LGBT community has been the main focus of this hatred. If there is a pipeline it starts from some smaller accounts online like Libs of TikTok, it moves to the right-wing blogosphere, and then it ends up on Tucker Carlson or it ends up out of a right-wing politician’s mouth. And it’s a really dangerous cycle that does have real-world consequences.”
Twitter users proceeded to point out to the leftist journalist that she is on video saying what she claims she isn’t saying:
The video is *right* there.

You know we can watch the video right there, right?

Thanks for clarifying that it is absolutely true. Now please, for the benefit of everybody, hold your breath.

Author and conservative pundit Dana Loesch took Zadrozny to task over her smearing of Carlson and Libs of TikTok.
“You, on camera with your own mouth, specifically named them as purveyors of hate. Not only is it true that you did, it’s grotesque that you did,” Loesch wrote.
She evidently hit a nerve because the journalist clapped back, stating, “Oh, they are absolutely purveyors of hate. … I did not ‘blame them for the mass shooting over the weekend.’ I described the environment in which hate crimes against LGBT folks have surged. It’s subtle, maybe, but I believe in you.”

I did not "blame them for the mass shooting over the weekend." I described the environment in which hate crimes against LGBT folks have surged. It's subtle, maybe, but I believe in you.— Brandy Zadrozny (@BrandyZadrozny) November 21, 2022
That also got blowback:
Always the cat-lady hall monitors using such sleazy tactics.
“I didn’t blame them, I just said they created the environment because they denounce the sexualization of kids.”
Maybe it’s your making the sexualization of children an LGBT focus that creates the environment.

Holding a mirror up to child abusers (which is what @libsoftiktok does) doesn’t create an environment of hate. It creates an environment of accountability. Y’all really hate that.

This explains why you work at NBC. Y’all have told so many lies and half truths, you can’t accept responsibility for a truth when it’s right in your face.
