‘Hell no!’ Conservatives shred the idea of ‘pandemic amnesty’, vow to ‘never forget’ what Dems did

Those who willfully and often gleefully participated in enforcing The Science™, the same COVID Karens who consider it racist to require ID to vote but pushed mandatory injection of experimental gene therapies just to earn a living as mask zealotry swept the nation, are now calling to forgive and forget as proof of how wrong they always became increasingly difficult to hide.

Conservatives, sensing a reckoning over the horizon, offered their response across social media in a resounding fashion following The Atlantic’s publication of “Let’s Declare a Pandemic Amnesty.”

“Hell no!”

In many congressional and gubernatorial races across the country, the writing is on the wall and a massive power shift is incoming courtesy of the foretold big red wave. Promises have been made to investigate the origins of COVID and the enforcement of the draconian response to it and, like President Joe Biden preemptively blaming Republicans for the economic woes of next year, lockdowners are attempting to get ahead of the narrative.

Writing for The Atlantic, Brown University economics professor Emily Oster made a case that, “In April 2020, no one got the coronavirus from passing someone else hiking. Outdoor transmission was vanishingly rare. Our cloth masks made out of old bandanas wouldn’t have done anything, anyway. But the thing is: We didn’t know.”

Since then, reminders about what was actually known and actively denied, by those who ardently referred to common sense and freedom as anti-science and anti-vax, have resurfaced all over the internet.

Libs of TikTok created a mega thread on the matter with posts highlighting child abuse, elder abuse, animal abuse and the callousness of those who wouldn’t even allow family to comfort a dying relative in person after initially responding, “Hell no. I’ll never forget what the Democrats did- how they destroyed thousands of lives by forcing school/business closures, people died alone in hospitals while nurses danced because they didn’t allow visitors, thousands lost their jobs for refusing a vax, list goes on and on.”

Others similarly reacted with posts and videos sharing some of the more egregious actions that have lingered the freshest in their memories with California state Sen. Melissa Melendez (R) writing, “Kids missed out on their education. Mom & Pops went out of business. Military members were kicked out. The list goes on and on. Those responsible deserve every bit of scorn cast their way.”

Conservative commentator Katie Pavlich opined, “Most enraging thing I’ve read in a long time. You [people] destroyed lives, had people fired, set back kids for a generation, promoted an anti-American vilification/social passport system for ‘the unvaccinated,’ censored, etc. We had the date in May 2020. These [people] ignored. No.”

Oster tried, “The standard saying is that those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. But dwelling on the mistakes of history can lead to a repetitive doom loop as well. Let’s acknowledge that we made complicated choices in the face of deep uncertainty, and then try to work together to build back and move forward.”

Still, as Gov. Ron DeSantis’ Rapid Response Director Christina Pushaw pointed out, the stranglehold for power in the name of COVID has not relented.

“Unbelievable that anyone is asking for ‘pandemic amnesty’ when the insanity is STILL HAPPENING–In the last week…NY Gov said that if she wins re-election, she’s open to a Covid vax mandate for K-12 students–Doctors are still losing their licenses & livelihoods for dissenting.”

The president himself released a “Fall To-Do List” that noted trivial matters besides the need to “Make an appointment to get the updated COVID vaccine” even after reports came out that its efficacy was only tested on a handful of test rodents.
