A Pennsylvania mayor is standing up to the Democratic Party and refusing to endorse their “radical,” “empty shirt” candidate for US Senate, stressing the party has drifted “so far left that you can’t even see back to the middle.”
Carbondale Mayor Justin Taylor told “Fox & Friends First” that Democrat John Fetterman is nothing more than “a figment of the imagination of the Democratic Party” and he cannot in good conscience endorse someone with such “radical policies.”

“The Lieutenant Governor of Pennsylvania really has not shown much of anything for the working class of Pennsylvania,” Taylor said during Tuesday’s episode. “It was really kind of a joke, I think, the first time around. He got into office after the previous lieutenant governor had huge issues with disrespecting folks in the legislature and even executive staff, and they found this guy to run and thought it would be funny to put this guy in office and now he is on the verge potentially becoming a US Senator. That’s a scary thought. He really does have radical policies and again can’t back them up when he speaks.”
Taylor dismissed Fetterman’s health issues as a non-issue, stressing his politics as the true danger.
“He’s a figment of the imagination of the Democratic Party as to how to get people back to the Democratic Party, the working class, and it’s really not working,” the 45-year-old father of four said as he explained why he is endorsing Republican candidate Mehmet Oz over Democrats’ radical, empty shirt candidate.
When Fetterman policy is letting criminals out of jail its quite the opposite. You need to pay attention! Policy matters and Fetterman ideas are dangerous

Having the backbone to stand up to the modern Democratic Party has left Taylor in the cold, he told hosts Carley Shimkus and Todd Piro.
“It really is a difficult position to be in. People come out and they feel that I am a traitor, that I’m not a party loyalist anymore, that I don’t support the cause, but again this isn’t just one candidate like John Fetterman. For me, this has been a gradual progression away from the party because of the radical ideas that they keep forcing on everyone,” Taylor said. “They’re supposed to be a party of inclusion and have everybody involved and opinions matter, and that’s really not the case. They just constantly force their agenda on people. And then if you question it in the least or have a slightly different opinion, then you’re basically ostracized.”

The typically Left-leaning Pittsburg-Post Gazette endorsed Oz on Monday, calling Fetterman “troubling,” saying his lack of transparency over his medical records “suggests an impulse to conceal and a mistrust of the people.” The paper went on to say Fetterman has “little experience in holding real jobs or facing the problems of working people.”
Your answer to crime is to release more dangerous felons out on the streets and no way do you know what to do about inflation. You better stick to talking about Oz being from Jersey.

As Democratic power players turn from the party’s golden boy, the state’s powerful union voting block is up for grabs. Taylor said union voters in his city, located outside Scranton, which has historically voted Democrat, felt betrayed by the current administration.
“Many union workers were just so upset that they’re shutting down pipeline projects here. They’re calling for less fracking and drilling and so on,” Taylor said. “We are finally able to take advantage of some of these resources that are here and the unions specifically got a slap in the face from the Democratic Party, almost immediately after the election of President Biden, who again is supposed to be a champion of the unions, so that’s going to be an issue here.”
Piro questioned why the Democratic Party would abandon working-class voters and supporters like Taylor in favor of the “very, very wealthy coastal elites,” asking the mayor who endorsed President Trump in 2020 what happened to his party.
“I think that’s what everybody is asking. How did we get to this point? I ask myself that,” Taylor said. “Where did this go wrong? Where did this go so far left that you can’t even see back to the middle? And I don’t have the answer for that, but there’s more and more people, especially my age, who are fed up with the concepts and the aggressive nature in which the party forces these ideas on folks and then makes them out to be the bad guy if they’re not supporters. ”
