Megyn Kelly highly suspicious of San Fran PD’s story concerning Paul Pelosi: ‘I know enough to smell a rat’

Journalist Megyn Kelly sat down with Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) to discuss the brutal hammer attack against Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi’s husband and said she definitely smelled a rat over the shifting storyline.

She has a real issue with the San Francisco Police Department’s narrative concerning the incident. Kelly is also beyond frustrated with the leftists who keep tying themselves into knots trying to connect the attack to January 6th instead of admitting the suspect was a “lunatic.”

“The cynicism of trying to exploit this attack into a Jan. 6th redo is obvious and disgusting,” Kelly said.

“It’s because the Democrats don’t have any other issue on which they campaign,” Cotton responded. “The Jan. 6 Capitol riots had many terrible crimes. I think most Americans, though, remember most about Jan. 6, 2021, that gas was $2.40 a gallon or that they could afford groceries at the end of the week, or that they could pay their rent and their utilities at the end of the month, and that’s what they want to have again.”

Cotton added that the Democratic Party is attempting to fixate on other stories because they know they are about to pay the “electoral consequences” of their policies.

He went on to call for the police to release as much information as possible about the attack including police body camera footage, the 911 call from Pelosi, and any security camera footage from inside the home. He may be waiting a literal eternity for that wish to be granted.

“So I think the San Francisco Police Department would be well served. It would help everyone just to put out all that information,” the senator contended.

“In the meantime, I wish Paul Pelosi all the best in recovering from this terrible crime, a crime that we see too much of all across America today because of soft-on-crime policies and failures to put mentally ill people into institutions where they can get the care they need,” he added.

Kelly was in full agreement with Cotton on the issue but she also added that she thinks the police department is making itself look foolish over all of this.

“I feel like at a minimum, the SFPD has egg on its face because even under the most generous story to Paul Pelosi and to the San Francisco police, they were in the house when this guy attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer,” she asserted during the interview.

“I’m not sure how that happened. How do you have police officers on site and an 82-year-old gets attacked with a hammer in front of you when you have a gun as a police officer? It’s one of the many questions here. As you point out, there are security cameras all over that house. You can see them from the outside where they are turned on. If not, why not? She’s the Speaker of the House,” Kelly asked.

“Far less known public figures than Nancy Pelosi have taken extra security measures in and around San Francisco, given how high the crime rate is there, it would be insane for them not to have their cameras on,” she pointed out.

Kelly wants to see the bodycam footage of the incident considering all the unanswered questions that are floating around over it.

“Let’s see it,” she said. “Let’s see it all. I don’t know what went on. I know enough to smell a rat. There’s something going on here that they’re not telling us. I just don’t know what it is.”
