A new poll released by the normally left-leaning Telemundo/LX News has found that Hispanic voters in the state of Florida favor incumbent Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) over former Gov. Charlie Crist by seven percentage points going into next month’s gubernatorial election.
In fact, it would appear that even outside of Florida, Hispanic citizens are beginning to turn their backs on a political party that views them as a monolithic voting bloc they could always count on while at the same time offering only false promises of a better life for them.
In more detail, the poll, conducted by Mason-Dixon Polling & Strategy, found that Latinos supported DeSantis over Crist, who is now a Democrat, 51 percent to 44 percent, and gave DeSantis a 56 percent approval rating. Breaking the demographic down further, those Hispanics of Cuban descent approve of DeSantis by a whopping 73 percent.
In addition, NBC reported that Hispanic residents in the state support DeSantis sending illegal aliens to Martha’s Vineyard 52 percent to 41 percent, all of which flies in the face of the bang-up job the Biden regime and Democrats writ large believe they are doing for the nation.
Mason-Dixon pollster Brad Coker said one of the reasons for the disparity is clear.
“There are lots of Hispanic voters in this state who really like the governor’s style, this strongman who won’t back down,” Coker said. “And Crist has no mojo.”
Republican strategist Giancarlo Sopo said Democrats are woefully out of touch with Hispanic voters for asking them to trust the party instead of their lying eyes.
“Too many Democrats think Hispanics like uncontrolled mass migration and they couldn’t be more wrong,” Sopo said. “Those of us who remember Miami in the ’80s and ’90s remember the aftermath of Mariel when 120,000 people showed up in the community over a span of six months. What we’re now seeing at the border is two Mariels per month.”
“You can’t ignore the 800-pound gorilla: The economy sucks for a lot of people,” Coker said. “And in the last stretch of the election, it comes down to a referendum on a sitting president and how is the economy. On both counts, the Democrats come up short.”
Overtly anti-white racist pseudo-journalist Jemele Hill got the public smackdown on Twitter over the weekend for assuming the same thing about Hispanic voters in Florida. She blamed their “proximity to whiteness,” ignoring the effectiveness of Ron DeSantis’ governorship as a factor in his popularity. Although she was effectively rebuked by volumes of Twitter users, no contrition from Hill should be expected, for it’s not in a Leftist’s nature to admit when they’re wrong.
The new poll came out as DeSantis and Crist met on Monday night for the one and only gubernatorial debate in Florida this election cycle, where the topics included gender mutilation, abortion, boys competing in girls’ sports, the economy, and the death penalty, to name several.
At one point, Crist tried to get DeSantis to commit one way or the other on if he is planning a presidential run or if he intends to stay a full term as governor if reelected, but DeSantis wasn’t having it.

In fact, the moderator had to remind Crist that asking direct questions of each other was not the agreed-upon format for the debate. Nevertheless, he thinks he got a jab in on the governor – as do the moronic supporters he has on Twitter – but it doesn’t matter because DeSantis is cooler than the other side of the pillow, and everyone including Crist knows it.
