Hilarious ‘Californians move to Texas’ video series from The Babylon Bee is crushing it!

Individuals and businesses alike have felt the damaging consequences of progressive policies eroding the economy and public safety. Even after they move on like locusts from a leftist stronghold to decimate a conservative haven, support for Democrats doesn’t wane and The Babylon Bee captured this phenomenon in their latest video series, “Californians Move to Texas,” complete with a cameo from Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas).

Starring Steve and Timpani, “everyone’s favorite transplants from California,” the Bee took a third shot at highlighting the mentality it takes to not understand simple cause and effect with a satirical look at relocated Democrats canvassing for Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke’s senate campaign. From announcing pronouns to virtue signaling t-shirts, the segments hit mark after mark, prompting one character to suggest, “you must be new here in Texas.”

The outlet’s social media director shared a clip of the video offering a taste of the humor on Twitter with Timpani declaring, “We just moved here from California because our state was being ruined. Anyway, we’d love for you to vote for this politician who’s just like the politicians who run California!”

“Well bless your heart,” the homeowner offered to a clueless Timpani missing the connotation and replying in kind as the door is slammed in her face.

The video eventually leads into the couple trying their hand at reaching churchgoers attending a Baptist service, showing how those peddling mantras like “vote blue no matter who” truly are zealots who’ve embraced politics as their religion. In response to the man leading the church group saying “Jesus takes away our sin,” Timpani enthusiastically announced, “Beto’s gonna take away our AR-15s!”

However, the satire didn’t only take aim at easy targets like progressives as Cruz was featured as one of the homeowners in the video with a callback to a particular meme as he told the canvassing couple he was too busy to talk because he had “a lot of letter writing to do.”

Before closing the door on the pair, Cruz drops one of the pages he was carrying and the couple nervously depart as a closeup reveals it to be done in the style of the Zodiac Killer.

Ultimately, it appeared as though Steve was getting swayed by the culture in his new home state when Timpani caught him reading the Bible in bed disguised as a copy of Ibram X. Kendi’s “How to be an Anti-Racist.”

The Bee also touched on mask zealotry, gun control, and the cloistered lives of those in heavily progressive areas who don’t interact with their neighbors on the level that those in small towns, down with one individual saying in the series upon meeting the couple, “They are exactly as you describe them.”

The full video can be seen below as well as the first and second in the series.
