October surprise! Stunning number of Americans view legacy media as ‘major threat to democracy’

In a rude October surprise that rocked Democrats and their stooges in the corrupt media, a new poll shows that their January 6th propaganda isn’t enough to overcome economic concerns and that a huge majority views the media as a greater threat to democracy than the Supreme Court, the Electoral College, and former President Donald J. Trump.

The results from The New York Times/Siena survey come like a kick in the gut a mere three weeks away from the high-stakes midterm elections that will determine the future of the country and the preservation of a one-party rule that in less than two years has wrecked the economic futures of Americans, transformed the U.S. into a borderline third world authoritarian state and led to the doorstep of nuclear Armageddon.

The shocking poll not only shows that inflation continues to be the number one issue for Americans outside the Beltway and the coastal enclaves of the cultural elite, but that all of the fearmongering about “our democracy” being imperiled has fallen as flat as the J6 committee hearings, an unmitigated disaster in terms of ratings and capturing the attention of voters.

While Democrats were left dazed and confused by a poll that they now insist doesn’t matter, the reality is that their gooses may be cooked with voters who don’t appear to be as dumb as the party had clearly believed. But it was the media which serves as their megaphone that fared even worse.

Of those surveyed, 59 percent view the mainstream media as a major threat to democracy with another 25 percent viewing the greatest purveyors of hate and misinformation as a minor threat to democracy, for an astounding 84 percent identifying the real enemy. A meager 15 percent view the media as being benign and not a threat to democracy.

The NYT poll isn’t an outlier either, another just-released survey, this one from Gallup also shows a massive amount of public distrust of those who are tasked as guardians of democracy with the very important duty of holding corrupt power accountable, a task which today’s press has monumentally failed at.

According to the widely respected polling organization, “Americans’ confidence in the media has been anemic for nearly two decades, and Gallup’s latest findings further document that distrust. The current level of public trust in the media’s full, fair and accurate reporting of the news is the second lowest on record. This new confidence reading follows Gallup’s historically low confidence in both TV news and newspapers in June and a new low in December’s annual rating of the honesty and ethics of television reporters. Newspaper reporters received similarly low ratings in the same poll.”

Reactions to the poll continue to reverberate with former White House press secretary Jen Psaki freaking out over the failure of her party’s “election denier” propaganda campaign which, according to the responses, has failed to convince independents of the threat to “our democracy.”

The polling only confirms the wise words of “Honest” Abe Lincoln who, in a quote widely attributed to him, once said, “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

Unfortunately for the Democrats, they are fooling fewer and fewer voters this time around.
