Now that the most important midterm elections in the nation’s history are only three weeks away, some Democrats are starting to get very nervous that their party’s strategy of promoting pro-Trump candidates in the primaries may have been a monumental strategic blunder as polls show that economic issues are a bigger priority than the 2020 election.
In a cynical move betting that Americans would buy their narrative about “MAGA Republicans” and “election deniers” being a threat to “democracy” as a way to appeal to moderates, various arms of the Democratic Party have pumped tens of millions of dollars into helping the campaigns of America first candidates whom they naively believed would be pushovers who would be easy to demonize and that voters would ignore the budget-busting reality of Biden’s failed policies in proxy contests against former President Donald J. Trump.
Their ploy now appears to have seriously backfired with one major new poll showing that a significant number of independent voters aren’t buying the propaganda and remain laser-focused on the real issues that affect their daily lives, particularly when it comes to inflation which continues to rage at the highest level in four decades.
Former White House press secretary Jen Psaki found the results of The New York Times/Siena survey to be extremely alarming.
“Holy moly siena/NYT poll ‘more than a third of independent voters and a smaller but noteworthy contingent of Democrats said they were open to supporting candidates who reject the legitimacy of the 2020 election…’ as they focus on economic issues,” fretted President Joe Biden’s former top flack.

An even bigger problem for Democrats is that there is no way that they can hide that when it comes to “election deniers,” it is they themselves who have an extensive and well-documented history of rejecting the legitimacy of elections that they don’t win and one of the biggest offenders is Psaki’s replacement, Karine Jean-Pierre.
“Stolen emails, stolen drone, stolen election ….. welcome to the world of #unpresidented Trump,” the historic first black lesbian immigrant WH press secretary wrote weeks after the 2016 election.

For good measure, Jean-Pierre also took the side of Georgia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, an “election denier” of gargantuan proportions.

Dealing yet another blow to Democrats and their media winged monkeys was Republican Arizona gubernatorial hopeful, Kari Lake, who has been the focus of an intense smear campaign this week after her appearance on Sunday’s edition of CNN’s “State of the Union” where host Dana Bash sought to portray her as a 2020 election conspiracy theorist.
A fierce counterpuncher as well as a seasoned former news reporter who fully understands how the game is played, Lake flipped the script on the dishonest purveyors of misinformation in the media by springing a masterful trap on her antagonists during a Tuesday Q & A, countering the activist reporters with a massive compilation of Democrat election deniers like Jean-Pierre and Hillary Clinton in their own words.

While the Democrats’ big gambit to make the midterms all about 2020, January 6 and Trump now appears to have been a major mistake with their contempt for the intelligence of voters, they can’t say that they weren’t warned.

Democrats have literally bet the House on their being able to bamboozle voters into buying their “democracy” is under assault from Trump and the MAGA Republicans malarkey but as legendary strategist James Carville once famously put it, “It’s the economy stupid” and those words still resonate decades later.
