AOC mocks FOX contributor for Taco Bell meal, but insane town hall shows she’s got bigger things to worry about

In a departure from her usual tedious, far-left virtue signaling or dooming, U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) actually came up with something on social media that was rather amusing.

The politician whom Fox News host Tucker Carlson nicknamed “Sandy from Westchester,” apparently as a way to call attention to the upscale suburban neighborhood where she actually grew up in contrast to the working-class Bronx-area district that she represents, took to Twitter to mock a contributor on Fox News Channel’s sister network.

In a conversation with Neil Cavuto on Fox Business, Scott Martin, the Kingsview Partners chief investment officer, had this to say about the economy while perhaps thinking outside the bun.

“You want to know how bad inflation is? Yesterday, yes, I had a nice lunch at Taco Bell. It cost me about $28 at Taco Bell for lunch. People need to pay for those things, and they do that by getting jobs and getting in the economy and getting active and getting involved,” he claimed about the snack splurge.

Cavuto and panelist Jonathan Hoenig registered some degree of playful skepticism in the clip that has gone viral.

Among many on Twitter who shared their thoughts, AOC, whom Carlson has also irreverently described as “Westchester County’s first socialist revolutionary,” tweeted that “If someone is talking politics and eating $28 of Taco Bell in one sitting, then my immediate follow up question is what their thoughts are on Biden’s executive order on cannabis rescheduling.”

Another liberal quipped “To be fair, eating $28 of Taco Bell for lunch is a *certain kind* of inflation.”

Apart from potential munchies, it might also be said that someone who spends $28 in any fast-food eatery on a single order could later be spending 28 minutes in the nearest restroom.

“The [Fox Business] appearance came one day before the Bureau of Labor Statistics released its latest consumer price index, which found that prices rose faster than expected in September,” The Hill reported about Bidenflation.

Separately, and on a far more serious note, two progressive activists called out AOC on Wednesday at a sparsely attended town hall at a Bronx high school for voting, like most of Congress, Democrat and Republican, to fund the war in Ukraine, and thus, by implication, selling out her constituency.

Lawmakers have authorized billions of taxpayer money to pay for weaponry, supplies, and the Zelenskyy government bureaucracy.

Rather than insisting on a ceasefire and peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine to end the death and destruction, the Biden administration’s blank check is risking an escalation of the conflict to a nuclear war, they implied.

“OK, you originally ran as an outsider. Yet you’ve been voting to start this war in Ukraine. You’re voting to start a third nuclear war with Russia and China. Why are you playing with the lives of American citizens? You’re playing with our lives,” one of the activists told the Squad member who was first elected in November 2018.

According to the Democratic Socialists of America website, Ocasio-Cortez “is DSA’s foremost socialist superstar.”

The left in America used to be anti-war, anti-Deep State, hostile to big corporations, and pro-free speech. In recent years, the script has totally flipped.
