Too intimate? Heidi Klum’s sexy lingerie shoot with 18-year-old daughter sparks hot debate

A child following in their parent’s footsteps may be a common occurrence, but 49-year-old supermodel Heidi Klum’s 18-year-old daughter Leni Klum was a little too close on her mother’s heels in a racy photo shoot featuring the pair, leaving some calling it “disturbing AF!”

After pairing together to model for the Italian lingerie brand Intimissimi, Heidi Klum shared a behind-the-scenes video of her and Leni, daughter to Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, with the caption, “Creative director….my longtime friend @thomashayo Thanks for making us feel confident all day singing and dancing in our @intimissimofficial.”

For many, the premise was unsettling enough to have a mother and daughter scantily clad in lacy undergarments together, but the photo shoot progressed to another level of disturbing with some of the intimate poses the pair took, including a kiss.

Tranna Wintour, a transgender comedian, took to social media to ask, “Does anyone else think it’s kinda weird that Heidi Klum shot a lingerie campaign with her daughter…seriously, imagine doing a photo shoot in lingerie with *your* mom.”

In a follow-up, Wintour remarked that the comments on the black-and-white footage had been turned off, “so I guess everyone thinks it’s f*cking weird.”

Warning: Language

Another person wrote, “I don’t care who you are, this is disturbing AF! Who frolics with their mother in lingerie?!…Encourage her to go to university instead!”

Model and Swedish-British TV host Ulrika Johnson chimed in on the controversial campaign and said, “Trying to match with your daughter makes me feel really uncomfortable. It’s like trying to make the child look like you or maybe, worse, make you look like a child. Besides, your daughter is your daughter. Not your Bezzie mate.”

The 55-year-old is the mother of two daughters, aged 22 and 18, and said “If I asked them to pose next to me in a lingerie shoot or even, God forbid, to ‘twin’ with me, I wouldn’t even get a response, just a look saying ‘NO’.”

Another simply wrote “This is weird and disgusting” so some even referred to the images as soft-core pornography or displays of incest.

“It feels like a bizarre, modern-day version of the days of Jane Austen, when your daughter was paraded and boasted about—it was about grandstanding your genes while secretly and stealthily whispering: ‘Look what I’ve made,” Johnson went on to state. “It’s as if daughters have become the latest commodity to have and, indeed, to peddle.”

Still, there were those who defended the display with one writing, “Heidi Klum is a supermodel and clearly her daughter Leni will be too. Just because people are either jealous or at the very least envious, doesn’t make it wrong. You all just wished you looked that good, at any age.”
