Heads spin when Biden admin says trans women need to sign up for military draft, trans men excluded

It turns out that the Biden administration is not as inclusive as many transgenders thought, contending that trans women are still required to register for the military draft while trans men get a pass.

“US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register,” the Selective Service declared on its official website.

The same does not apply to those that are born female and identify as male, according to Fox News. They are not required to register for Selective Service.

This is evidently nothing new but it has now come to light after the Selective Service tweeted to parents on Friday that their sons must register for the draft.

“Parents, if your son is an only son and the last male in your family to carry the family name, he is still required to register with SSS. Learn more about who needs to register,” the Selective Service wrote in its tweet.

The link contained in the tweet links to the government website that asserts “almost all male US citizens and male immigrants, who are 18 through 25, are required to register with Selective Service.” That includes transgender women.

The policy was around long before the Biden administration came on the scene but with transgenderism being pushed by the president it is now a point of contention. The White House said in a statement previously that it wants everyone between 18 and 25 years old to register for the draft regardless of gender.

“Our military has welcomed women for decades and is stronger for it,” Senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) stated. He was a first lieutenant in the US Army and saw action in Iraq and Afghanistan while on active duty from 2005-2009.

“But America’s daughters should never be drafted against their will,” he added, according to TVP World.

“The administration supports section 513 and the registration requirement for all citizens, which further ensures a military selective system that is fair and just,” the White House asserted in 2021 as Congress weighed adding women to a measure in the National Defense Authorization Act that would require them to register for the draft.

Biden eventually signed the National Defense Authorization Act in 2021 sans the provision that would include women. He also signed an executive order in 2021 that allowed all qualified Americans to serve in the military while the White House cited a 2016 study that found “open transgender service has had no significant impact on operational effectiveness or unit cohesion in foreign militaries.”

Social media was less than impressed with the hypocritical nature of the Selective Service’s stance on the issue.

“Parents, we may kill your son and end your bloodline and family name for the sake of defending some irrelevant pile of sand in some godforsaken corner of the globe that holds no worth whatsoever to you or your family,” conservative commentator Matt Walsh tweeted.

All of this comes on the heels of Army Major Jamie Lee Henry, the Army’s highest-ranking trans woman, being indicted by a federal grand jury for allegedly trying to leak medical information on US Military members to the Russian government.

As a doctor at Fort Bragg, Jamie Lee Henry, who identifies as a transgender woman, had a secret security clearance and used the access to aid Russia, according to the indictment.
