‘He says you’re lying’: Brian Kilmeade grills Herschel Walker on son’s video accusations

Georgia Republican Senate candidate Herschel Walker was confronted by Fox News host Brian Kilmeade over his son’s accusation that he paid for an ex-girlfriend’s abortion and the “tremendous damage” it’s causing his campaign.

Walker has repeatedly denied the charge by his son, Christian Walker, and did so again Wednesday on “Fox & Friends.”

The explosive allegations reported by The Daily Beast contend that he impregnated his girlfriend in 2009 and then paid for her to get an abortion. This occurred years before he took an anti-abortion stance. Walker is threatening to sue the media outlet over the report concerning the unnamed woman.

“It’s sort of like everyone is anonymous. Everyone is leaking, they want you to confess to something you have no clue about,” Walker said, according to the Washington Examiner. “But it just shows how desperate they are right now. They see me as a big threat, and I know that. And I knew it when I got into this race, but they don’t realize it. I think they came for the wrong one. They energize me. They energize me because I know how they really want to try and keep their seat.”

The GOP candidate’s son has been on a tear via Twitter alleging that his father is a violent, lying hypocrite. The rift between father and son has been very public.

“Don’t lie about your life at the expense of me, my mom, and all of the people that you’ve affected throughout your life! You don’t get to pretend that you’re some moral family guy! You don’t get to pretend all these things… Do not lie!” Christian Walker railed in a video clip that Kilmeade played.

“You’re not a ‘family man’ when you left us to bang a bunch of women, threatened to kill us, and had us move over 6 times in 6 months running from your violence,” Christian Walker ranted in a tweet. “I don’t care about someone who has a bad past and takes accountability. But how DARE YOU LIE and act as though you’re some ‘moral, Christian, upright man.’ You’ve lived a life of DESTROYING other peoples lives. How dare you.”

“So he saw [the report] and says you’re lying, Herschel,” Kilmeade told Walker. “What do you say about your son? Is he telling the truth?”

“Well I love my son unconditionally and that’s where I’ve always been. I always loved him unconditionally,” he said, not answering the question.

“But he’s doing tremendous damage to you by coming out with those statements. Do you know why he’s saying this?” Kilmeade pressed.

“Well the damage he’s doing is letting people know that the left will do whatever they can to win this seat, and I told you when I got in this race, I’m gonna win this seat,” Walker asserted. “People see someone sitting here in front of you right now that’s been redeemed. I want America to know I’m living proof you can make mistakes and get up and keep going forward, but you can only do it in this country right here.”

Kilmeade kept the pressure on Walker. He pivoted to his son claiming, “I stayed silent as the atrocities committed against my mom were downplayed. I stayed silent when it came out that my father, Herschel Walker, had all these random kids across the country, none of whom he raised.”

“What do you say to that?” Kilmeade inquired.

Walker again reiterated, “I love him unconditionally.” He then commented that he has been “forgiven” as a Christian and veered away from his son’s comments.

Herschel Walker is seeking to unseat Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.) in November. Warnock is leading Walker 47% to 46.3%, according to RealClearPolitics.
