Joe Biden confounds with ‘repugnant’ abortion tweet invoking the ‘Almighty’

President Biden may have just committed the ultimate Freudian slip when he shocked social media with a tweet that not only invoked God but seemingly compared himself, his dad, and Democrats to Satan over abortion when discussing codifying Roe v. Wade.

Biden’s official Twitter account took a distinct heaven versus hell turn discussing the “choice” between abortion on demand and restrictions at 15 weeks. It was simply bizarre.

“My dad used to say, ‘Joey, don’t compare me to the Almighty. Compare me to the alternative.’ And here’s the deal: Democrats want to codify Roe. Republicans want a national ban on abortion. The choice is clear,” the tweet incredibly stated.

The line about Biden’s father is a story that he often repeated while on the campaign trail for the 2020 presidential election. But the whole non-sequitur comparison when invoking Roe v. Wade had many seeing pitchforks and horns on the commander-in-chief and measuring if the hoof fits.

“So, we’re supposed to compare you to Satan? OK,” Red State columnist Buzz Patterson snarked and Twitter was off to the races over it.

“The Almighty will have plenty to say about your willingness to facilitate the industrial-scale slaughter of the unborn to cement your own political power,” Daily Caller news editor Grayson Quay warned Biden.

“Republicans want a ban after 15 weeks (3 and a half months) of pregnancy, with exceptions for rape, incest, and the life of the mother. Democrats want taxpayer-funded abortions for any reason up to the day of delivery, with no conscience protections for providers who object,” Committee to Unleash Prosperity president Phil Kerpen pointed out via Twitter.

Newsbusters executive editor Tim Graham quipped, “Devout Catholic Update.”

“No joke, I thought this was a parody account,” Manhattan Institute fellow Robert VerBruggen tweeted.

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton jumped on board, “Fact check: Left wants to do more than ‘codify Roe.’ It wants to push the killing of unborn human beings WITHOUT ANY RESTRICTIONS through the entire nine months of pregnancy, with tax dollars. To start.”

Catholic Bishop Donald Hying of the Diocese of Madison, Wisconsin, told Biden that protecting human life from abortion is the only choice.

“As you say, Mr. President, the choice is clear. The choice between life and death for millions of unborn lives. Shouldn’t the government be seeking to nurture and protect human life?” Hying asked.

Others noted the fallen angel comparison:

Biden loudly proclaims he is a devout Catholic while pushing for the murder of the unborn which is in direct contradiction with the precepts of his religion. In May, Biden outrageously and confusingly referred to his natural rights as a “child of God” in defense of abortion.

In September, in front of a red hellish background, Biden viciously attacked “MAGA Republicans.” The message was worthy of Satan himself.

“The optics of Biden’s speech instantly became a source of Internet chatter with the weird red background that made the President look like he was giving a stump speech from Dante’s Inferno,” Jonathan Turley astutely wrote after the speech.
