‘No, it’s not valid’: Kilmeade SHREDS Kirby on military willingness to lose 20,000 members over vax mandate

“Fox & Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade let loose on Biden official John Kirby Tuesday over the US military’s COVID vaccine mandate put in place despite the president declaring the pandemic over, resulting in massive recruitment shortages.

The National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications appeared on “Fox & Friends” and got a bit more than he expected, apparently.

Kilmeade proceeded to tick off the stats of how many military members remain unvaccinated to Kirby.

The military has barred over 60,000 unvaccinated soldiers, including 8,913 Marines, 2,632 Coast Guardsman, and 3,955 Air Force members, from military training and federally funded drills over their refusal to receive the vaccine.

He then asked the Biden official, “You, as an admiral who knows what it takes and the sacrifice you make to join the military, to get kicked out like this, can you possibly talk some sense into this White House to reverse policy?”

“I’ll tell you, Brian, you and I have talked about this for quite some time over the past year or so, vaccinations are a valid military requirement. You want your troops to be ready and part of being ready is being healthy and not having the ability to infect your unit and make their unit readiness any worse than it is,” Kirby asserted.

“We all know that this vaccine does not address any of the variants we are currently experiencing,” Kilmeade charged. “So, therefore, this minimal positive to get it now, which is why you don’t talk about it. To invest in our people and train them and then dismiss them for an experimental vaccine is folly when you can’t recruit. Every one of your branches can’t recruit their threshold, yet you are kicking out good men and women. How do you explain that?”

“You have a requirement to be healthy to be able to serve,” Kirby commented. “It’s a valid military requirement—”

“You really think so?” Kilmeade interjected.

Kilmeade asked Kirby if it was worth it to lose 20,000 service members to the mandate. The question is valid as a majority of branches struggle to meet recruitment goals.

“Brian, we would rather not lose anybody, of course, to the vaccine,” Kirby answered. “We’d rather not lose anybody from a retention perspective, to have them leave the service earlier than they wanted, or we wanted them to, but it’s a valid military requirement.”

“No, it is not,” Kilmeade shot back. “This is an experimental vaccine that just came off the shelf. You know it’s not valid, and… it’s [a] risk our national security. Admiral, you are a military officer. You could talk sense into this White House.”

Kirby continued on with the talking point that COVID vaccinations are “a valid health requirement.” He then pointed out the numerous vaccines that service members are required to get, and “health is central to our readiness as a military unit, and it’s not just about you.”

A clearly frustrated Kilmeade appeared to be still arguing saying, “no, it’s not valid” before the segment ended.

Kirby has previously contended that the recruitment shortages have nothing to do with the woke policies in the US military. He adamantly stated that “There’s no wokeness in the military.”
