MSNBC, a left-wing network that regularly peddles conspiracy theories, gave Anita Hill a platform on Tuesday evening to bash Supreme Court conservatives by invoking the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
Hill, who infamously tried to derail the Supreme Court appointment of now-Justice Clarence Thomas in 1991, appeared on “Alex Wagner Tonight” to promote a book and, in so doing, spewed some all-too-familiar, evidence-free liberal talking points.
Host Wagner, who appears to be failing as Rachel Maddow’s replacement based on current ratings, teed it up for Hill, 66, in the context of the Dobbs decision, to ask the Yale-educated lawyer the following loaded question in the video clip embedded above:
“Do you see the Republican zeal to control a woman’s body as an extension of that chauvinism; obviously pro-life groups will tell you this is about protecting the sanctity of unborn life, but do you see the same sort of chauvinism and misogyny that gives rise to the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers? Do you see an extension of that in the Dobbs decision related to state abortion bans?” she asked.
To the surprise of no one, Hill seemed to agree. “I see it a lot in Dobbs,” she said.
Hill then recalled how in a 2013 dissent, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg claimed that conservative justices “were on this restrained course to coral…civil rights in this country” and that this pattern is supposedly continuing in the present day.
The Dobbs opinion issued by a majority on the U.S. Supreme Court that overturned Roe v. Wade returned abortion regulation to the individual states.
“And what she was talking about was employment discrimination, specifically racism in employment, as well as sexual harassment employment. And what she predicted was basically, if we continue this path, we are going to be setting back precedent that we have thought was there, protections, that we thought you know, going to be with us forever,” Hill continued.
She added that “And I think what we’re seeing with Dobbs is that is part of what she was complaining about. This is a tendency of the left, excuse me, the right part of the conservative part of the court, to really limit and disrespect the granting of rights, the extension of civil rights.”

Hill, who is on the faculty of far-left Brandeis University, where she is a professor of “Social Policy, Law, and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies,” went on to imply that Justice Thomas, if he had his way, would reverse same-sex marriage.
In a form of projection that the left consistently engages in, Hill alluded to a “divide-and-conquer strategy.”
In the Dobbs decision, the majority opinion authored by Justice Alito, however, specifically indicated that “Nothing in this opinion should be understood to cast doubt on precedents that do not concern abortion.”
Justice Ginsburg, moreover, even as she is celebrated by Prof. Hill and many others as a liberal champion of women’s rights and feminism, expressed misgivings about the scope of the 1973 Roe decision.
“Indeed, the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was a critic of Roe, seeing it as too sweeping in supplanting state laws. She later blamed the case for reversing the trend toward more pro-choice states,” influential George Washington University law professor and pundit Jonathan Turley explained in November 2021.
Wagner ended the segment by seemingly dooming about the supposed interlinkage among the judiciary, the legislature, and the gubernatorial elections.
Wagner began the discussion by obsessing about January 6 and the above-mentioned two groups, which gave Hill an opportunity to delve into the progressive playbook and lament the patriarchy, misogyny, racism, homophobia, and white male grievances and white supremacy.
