Italy is on the verge of electing conservative Christian nationalist Giorgia Meloni as she is expected to sweep to victory on Sunday while campaigning on a platform that is anti-immigration and pro-God, country, and family.

Leftists and the media are beside themselves as the political pendulum swings back to the right in the third most powerful nation in Europe.
They are already branding Meloni as fascist and comparing her to Benito Mussolini. She is the leader of The Brothers of Italy and has been dominating the polls regardless of a number of perceived missteps during her campaign. One of those involved suspending a party candidate for allegedly praising Hitler and a close associate accused of performing a Nazi salute which he denied.
Both of those are reminiscent of what conservatives have been accused of in the United States and at least here, have proven to be untrue.
Meloni is a 45-year-old unmarried mother-of-one and she is unapologetically anti-migrant and pro-Italy according to the Daily Mail.
If elected, she will become the country’s first-ever female prime minister. Italians have rallied around her message of “God, country, and family” and her aggressive stance against “woke ideology.”
The entire mainstream media is labeling Giorgia Meloni of Italy "far-right."
So right away my assumption is that she will put the needs of her own country first, she won't let the WEF destroy Italy, and she will use common sense instead of following communist "experts".

“Yes to natural families, no to the LGBT lobby! Yes to sexual identity, no to gender ideology! Yes to the culture of life, no to the abyss of death!” a passionate Meloni cried in a speech in June.
In 2019, Meloni introduced Caio Giulio Cesare Mussolini, who is the great-grandson of Benito Mussolini. He was one of her candidates for the European Parliament, although he eventually lost ostensibly due to his relation to the late dictator, not his politics per see. But that doesn’t stop the left from branding Meloni and her compatriots as fascists even though that is reportedly not the case.
Ironically, if she wins on Sunday, it will come almost 100 years to the month of Mussolini coming to power in October 1922.

Meloni has previously called for a blockade off the North African coast to stop ships carrying migrants to Italy. She is also in favor of sanctions against Russia and sending arms to Ukraine.
The departing Italian government is led by former European Central Bank chief Mario Draghi. In early 2021, Italy’s president selected Draghi to form a unity government after the collapse of the second ruling coalition of 5-Star leader Giuseppe Conte.
Meloni was the sole major party leader who refused to join Draghi’s coalition.
She served as a youth minister in Silvio Berlusconi’s government when he was prime minister a decade ago. The single mother was the nation’s youngest ever minister at 31 and still lived at home with her mother.
“Christian mother” Meloni grew up in a working-class neighborhood and joined the Italian Social Movement when she was 15, according to Politico.

Although Meloni may be conservative, she is not anti-abortion and wants to give women a choice when it comes to terminating pregnancies.
“We won’t touch the abortion law. We just want (women) to know there are other options,” she proclaimed.
Many are supporting her for her strong stance on immigration and her promise to cut taxes.
“I will vote for Meloni because I believe that immigration and taxes are the main issues that need to be addressed,” 21-year-old Margherita Conti told Reuters in an interview. “But I will also do it because I am happy that we will have a female prime minister and that it will be Giorgia.”
Huge crowds show up to see Meloni speak just as they do with former President Trump.
With energy bills in the neighborhood of ten times higher than a year ago and food prices skyrocketing, Italians are demanding new leadership. They also want to save workers’ jobs. They see Meloni as the leader who will turn things around in the Christian nation.
