Elon Musk drops 20 pounds after cringy yacht photo, shares secret dietary plan making him ‘feel healthier’

Tesla CEO Elon Musk tweeted over the weekend that he has lost 20 pounds and feels much healthier after he was trolled concerning his weight when photos surfaced of him relaxing on a yacht near Mykonos.

Musk, 50, has been using intermittent fasting to drop weight, according to the New York Post. He admitted Sunday on social media that he was “over 20 lbs down from my (unhealthy) peak weight.”

“On advice of a good friend, I’ve been fasting periodically & feel healthier,” Musk stated on Twitter.

Musk spoke about using the “Zero” fitness app. He called it “quite good.” The app claims to be a resource for users to “unlock the power of intermittent fasting to lose weight and improve your metabolic health.”

The SpaceX billionaire also joked with another follower that he lifts weights “a little.”

Back in July, Page Six posted pictures of a very white, overweight Musk while on his luxury yacht and they were cringy. He was vacationing with William Morris Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel and his new bride Sarah Staudinger.

As the photos began to go viral, Musk poked fun at himself as memes began to pop up.

“Haha damn, maybe I should take off my shirt more often … free the nip!! (already back in the factory btw),” Musk tweeted.

The world’s richest man also commented in July concerning a post by the account @WholeMarsBlog, which criticized people for making fun of Musk’s physique.

“According to new CDC guidelines anyone posting a shirtless pick of @elonmusk to make fun of him must also post a shirtless pic of themselves for comparison,” the account quipped.

“Tbh, it’s good motivation to work out, eat healthier & maybe take my shirt off outside more than once a year haha,” Musk responded.

Musk’s father also criticized him for being out of shape and overweight. South African engineer Errol Musk commented his son was “eating badly” and suggested he should take diet pills to lose weight.

That was when the tech icon admitted that he need to start exercising more.

“I gotta work out and be in better shape,” Musk stated. “I actually don’t really like working out, but I gotta do it.”

Intermittent fasting has become a very popular means of losing weight. It refers to “an eating plan that switches between fasting and eating on a regular schedule,” according to a blog post by Johns Hopkins Medicine.

“Research shows that intermittent fasting is a way to manage your weight and prevent — or even reverse — some forms of disease,” the post asserts.

A commonly-followed routine is fasting two days a week and then restricting your daily food intake window to six hours.

Musk has an insanely busy schedule where he runs numerous companies, which include Tesla, SpaceX, and the Boring Company.

He is also ensnared in a lengthy legal battle with Twitter after backing out of a $44 billion deal to buy the company because they allegedly were not honest about how many “real” users there were on the platform. The trial begins in October to attempt to resolve the dispute.
