Taylor Lorenz leads leftist meltdown over good news on coronavirus: ‘Horrific on such a massive scale’

Disgraced Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz has gone off the deep end again on Twitter following the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) relaxing many of its COVID guidelines.

On Thursday, the CDC made numerous changes to its guidelines concerning the coronavirus and the now-defunct pandemic. The guidelines lift mandatory quarantines for individuals exposed to the virus, end screening people with no symptoms, and do away with the testing recommendations after being potentially exposed to the virus. Contact tracing will now be limited to hospitals and high-risk groups living in nursing homes.

The most shocking change is that the CDC is ending the differentiation between vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals, according to NPR.

“It also brings the recommendations for unvaccinated people in line with people who are fully vaccinated – an acknowledgment of the high levels of population immunity in the U.S., due to vaccination, past COVID-19 infections or both,” the media outlet reported.

Fox News contributor and radiologist Nicole Saphier asserts it’s time to right wrongs for those who are unvaccinated, tweeting, “Now that the CDC no longer differentiates between Covid vaccinated/unvaccinated individuals, every employee fired for being unvaccinated should be given their job back with a formal apology and backpay.”

Upon hearing the news, Lorenz pitched a fit over the new guidelines allowing Americans to get on with their lives, asserting that it leaves immunocompromised people like herself out in the cold, so to speak.

“Literally what is the plan for high risk/medically vulnerable and disabled people? Just let us die while the world marches on??” she hysterically tweeted.

“The same ppl complaining non stop abt the ‘mental health cost of lockdowns (even though we never had full lockdowns) & having to wear masks, are perfectly happy to force disabled ppl to stay locked away forever or keep an N95 glued to their face every time they step into public,” Lorenz dramatically whined.

The reporter lamented that Americans with disabilities “shouldn’t have to risk their lives to participate in society” and ridiculously charged that the move to reopen society is “horrific on such a massive scale.”

“Disabled/medically vulnerable ppl shouldn’t have to risk their lives to participate in society, nor are most even given that choice. Disabled people also have to work, go to school, grocery shop, go to the doctor’s office. We are human beings in the world just like everyone else,” Lorenz whined.

“As someone working in media who’s immunocompromised and medically vulnerable I really wish we as an industry hired more disabled writers and did more to center vulnerable people in our coverage, esp on COVID. What’s happening right now is so horrific on such a massive scale,” she stated.

COVID-obsessed leftists voiced their agreement with Lorenz’s outrage over the CDC doing something it should have done long ago.

Comedian Kathy Griffin led the way, “Apparently so.”

Harvard professor Scott Kominers tweeted, “Yeah that sounds like it’s basically the plan 😥”

Massachusetts politico Brianna Wu vented, “This makes me so angry.”

Video game reporter Nathan Grayson put in his two-cents-worth, summing up the outrage on the left, “it’s the grand american tradition: instead of directly killing people who are poor, disabled, queer, etc, just let them die of preventable causes and then claim nothing could be done.”
