Joe Biden’s as good as gone: CNN’s Stelter says Hunter’s a ‘real problem,’ not just a right-wing story

Frantic efforts by Biden administration officials along with their partners in the media to shift the narrative on the deeply unpopular leader while he is in COVID isolation may be bearing fruit, but it could ultimately be the ongoing problems of Hunter Biden that bring the nation’s 46th president down.

Democrats and their media mouthpieces are working 24/7 to push their script of a miraculous Biden winning streak to salvage the hopes of holding onto one-party control of Congress by their fingernails with the critical midterms rapidly approaching, but many are ready to fish or cut bait on the “big guy” and even his staunchest defenders at CNN are acknowledging that a change at the top of the ticket may be inevitable.

On Sunday morning’s edition of “Reliable Sources,” host Brian Stelter talked with Michael LaRosa, former spokesperson for first lady Jill Biden who just left his job and the topic turned to Joe Biden’s future.

Stelter referred to a weekend column by Maureen Dowd of The New York Times who wrote: “He could leave on a high, knowing that he has delivered on his promises for progress and restored decency to the White House” and that the party needs someone with more mettle to fend off “a comeback by Trump or the rise of the odious Ron DeSantis,” a gnawing fear in the bellies of Dems.

“Maureen Dowd’s column in this morning’s New York Times, basically says that Joe Biden should not run for reelection,” Stelter said. “This has been a narrative for months and it’s gonna be louder and louder including from some Democratic lawmakers saying Biden should basically hang it up and say he’s a lame duck and not run in 2024.”

“So where do you come down in this as a former White House aide?” Stelter asked LaRosa.

“Oh, I hope he runs. I know he’s going to run, he’s planning to run,” answered LaRosa who said that the party’s anxiety was only “Democratic bed-wetting time,” showering Biden with praise and pushing back Stelter’s suggestion that his age was an issue. He went to the talking point about the glorious “week that he just had and those wins that he racked up while he had COVID” to scoff at the idea that he would decline to run for reelection.

“What about his son?” Stelter asked, “What about Hunter?”

“Hunter under federal investigation, charges could be coming at any time, this is not just a right-wing story,” he exclaimed, ‘this is a real problem for the Bidens. Could he decide not to run for reelection given his son?”

LaRosa replied, “They make decisions as a family, and they will make that decision when it’s time.”

“Do you think they’ve talked about it yet?” Stelter asked.

“No,” LaRosa emphatically stated. “The president is doing his job and he’s doing his work. He’s not focused on that. It’s 19 months! Why would he do that?”

Still, the Hunter problem looms large over Biden, with it no longer possible to suppress details of the “laptop from hell” that keep trickling out bit by bit every week from a veritable gold mine of corruption, drug-fueled depravity and sexual perversion, the latest of which is the presidential son musing about his obsession with pictures and images of his full frontal nudity which he attributes to “body dysmorphia” over his king-sized penis.

“I loved to be reassured that my 9-inch very big penis was actually big. It may sound funny to you but its [sic] body dysmorphia …” Hunter wrote in a July 2018 note discovered on his laptop, according to the New York Post. “I know my penis is almost twice the size of an average man’s penis.”

There is also what could have been a trial balloon sent up last week by Puck News reporter Tara Palmeri who pens “The Washington Mall” for the outlet.

“Plus, you’re gonna have all these investigations into Hunter Biden. There’s, you know, reports that the Justice Department is looking at indicting him,” she said during a recent appearance on the progressive “The Powers That Be: Daily” podcast.

“It’s just gonna be a dark time,” she said. “It’s not gonna be good for his family. You know, Jill Biden will be the one who ultimately decides I think — and for all my sources say, he’s really unlike a lot of candidates, he truly is a family guy.”

The sharks are circling for Biden and the Democratic Party would be happy to see Hunter used as chum.
