With the kind of contradictory logic that only a radical zealot could appreciate, a leftist professor ramped up the climate alarmism against West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin Saturday, cautioning parents to “hold your children close tonight” after the Democrat left Congress “one vote short of saving us.”
Writing for the New York Times opinion page, Dr. Leah Stokes, an associate professor at UC Santa Barbara, made her view clear that the end is nigh and Manchin was all four horseman of the impending apocalypse rolled into one. With all seriousness, she reacted to the senator’s opposition to the latest effort to ram a climate change package through Congress as well as your nearest cardboard sign toting doomsayer might.
“Hold your children close tonight,” she tweeted, paraphrasing the op-ed. “Leave some water out for the birds. And make a plan to rip out your gas furnace. The climate crisis is getting worse, and thanks to Manchin, Congress is one vote short of saving us. We’re going to have to save ourselves.”
Stokes, who would soon protect her tweets, added that her post was dedicated “to every climate activist, Congressional staffer, and WH official who has put off parental leave to work around the clock on climate policy, waiting for Manchin to wake up and recognize what he’s doing to his own grandchildren. His legacy is climate destruction.”
I dedicate this to every climate activist, Congressional staffer, and WH official who has put off parental leave to work around the clock on climate policy, waiting for Manchin to wake up and recognize what he’s doing to his own grandchildren. His legacy is climate destruction.

The drama of it all was packaged with claims like, “With the fate of our planet hanging in the balance, his every utterance was of global significance,” despite later pointing to the numerous ways that President Joe Biden, various state governors, and individual activists can and have taken their own actions in the name of the green agenda.
As previously reported, Biden reacted to Manchin’s opposition with plans to take unilateral action, as he has responded to nearly every issue that can’t pass the evenly divided Senate. “My actions will create jobs, improver our energy security, bolster domestic manufacturing and supply chains, protect us from oil and gas price hikes in the future, and address climate change,” the president claimed in a statement that begs the questions why has he waited if, as he said, “the opportunity to create jobs and build a clean energy future is too important to relent.”
Stokes wasn’t alone her extreme rhetoric either as John Podesta, Democratic political consultant for President’s Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, told the Times, “It seems odd that Manchin would choose as his legacy to be the one man who single-handedly doomed humanity.”
Reactions to the extremism poured in suggesting that the professor really needed to try and relax.
Calm down. We are all dead already because of the hairspray in the 80’s…the ozone is literally gone. This is all just a dream. Or at least that’t what we were told back then…teacher’s wheeling in tv’s to propagandize the skulls full of mush. It was bs then and still is.

Even she didn’t seem fully on board with her claims of imminent desolation as she went on to write that “Mr. Manchin’s grandchildren will grow up knowing that his legacy is climate destruction.”
But, it should come as little surprise that the adviser to Evergreen Action, a climate change advocacy group that is part of the Sixteen Thirty Fund, the same Sixteen Thirty Fund managed by Arabella Advisors with all of the seedy implications that come with being linked to George Soros’ Open Society Foundation, would adopt only the most extreme language to promote her desired outcomes.

As expected, her rhetoric was poorly received by any who know how to think for themselves.
“One vote away from the government saving us” I can’t stop laughing

I don’t have children.
Birds can get their own water.
You can pry my gas heater out of my cold, dead hands. And if you think the US Congress is going to “save us,” I question your sanity.
