Retired three star general suspended by Army from mentor role over tweet mocking ‘woke’ Jill Biden

The Biden administration suspended a retired three-star general with the U.S. Army from his “senior mentor” role due to a simple 10-word tweet that did not pass muster.

Retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky is under investigation after responding to a social media post from First Lady Jill Biden mocking her for learning “what a woman is,” USA Today reported.

Biden posted in response to the release of the highly controversial Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization that effectively overturned Roe v Wade which for the past 50 years had interpreted abortions as a constitutional right.

“For nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make our own decisions about our bodies. Today, that right was stolen from us,” she wrote in an impassioned tweet on June 24, the day the decision was published.

“And while we may be devastated by this injustice, we will not be silent. We will not sit back as the progress we have already won slips away,” she added.

“Glad to see you finally know what a woman is,” Volesky responded sarcastically in a now-deleted tweet.

USA Today reported that “his response represents a breach of decorum for a retired military officer and foray into partisan politics by an official on the payroll of the Pentagon, which is supposed to steer clear of such matters, experts say.”

Volesky had acted in an advisory role as a civilian mentor for active-duty officers for the $92 per hour contract gig. He formerly headed up the Army’s 101st Airborne Division.

His suspension and the ongoing investigation into the matter were confirmed by the U.S. Army.

“Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding general of the Combined Arms Center, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from performing duties as a Highly Qualified Expert — Senior Mentor pending the outcome of the commander’s inquiry,” an Army spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

Other Democrats miraculously relearned what a woman was in the aftermath of the Dobbs decision last month including Vice President Kamala Harris who sat down with CNN’s Dana Bash for her first interview after the Dobbs decision was published.

“The court actually took a constitutional right that has been recognized for half a century and took it from the women of America,” Harris complained.

“That’s shocking, when you think about it, in terms of what that means, in terms of democratic principles, in terms of the ideals upon which we were founded, about liberty, about freedom,” she rattled off. “You know, I thought about it as a parent. We have two children who are in their 20s, a son and a daughter. I thought about it as a godparent of teenagers. I thought of it as an aunt of pre-school children.”

“And a woman yourself,” Bash encouraged the vice president.

“And a woman myself, and the daughter of a woman, and a granddaughter of a woman,” Harris agreed.
