Tucker brands humorless ‘brittle, middle-aged woman’ Stephen Colbert a ‘Karen’ in mockfest

Fox News host Tucker Carlson leveled pretend-comic Stephen Colbert over his slavish adoration of President Joe Biden, calling him a “brittle, middle-aged woman” and a partisan “Karen” who has no sense of humor.

“Most nights, Stephen Colbert sounds like the notably unfunny Karine Jean-Pierre. He sounds like a Biden flack delivering whatever talking points the White House tells him to repeat,” Carlson noted on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” Tuesday.

He tore into the CBS “Late Show” host over his nine staffers being arrested after breaking into the Longworth House Office Building reportedly with the help of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) who sits on the Jan. 6 committee. CBS claims Colbert’s staffers were authorized to be there, according to The Hill. The staffers, who were reportedly provided attorneys free of charge and then were released, have been compared to insurrectionists and the Jan. 6 rioters by many on the right.

“I am shocked I have to explain the difference, but an insurrection involves disrupting the lawful actions of Congress and howling for the blood of elected leaders, all to prevent the peaceful transfer of power,” Colbert shot back, responding to the comparisons Monday night.

Carlson astutely pointed out that Colbert is actually no longer a comedian, that he’s certainly not funny, and has lost any sense of humor he ever had. He called Colbert’s show a “sad midlife crisis” for a man who has immersed himself in partisan politics.

“It’s a very sad midlife crisis, but more than that, it’s an information war being waged against television viewers on behalf of the Democratic Party. At least when the White House press secretary does it, she admits what she’s doing. Colbert hides behind his former job as a comedian. ‘It was all a joke. When people I don’t like break into the Capitol, it’s insurrection. When we do it, it’s sketch comedy, right?'” Carlson remarked.

“It’s getting harder to maintain that lie and here’s how, you know, comedians have a sense of humor. It is, in fact, a job requirement, but Stephen Colbert does not. Stephen Colbert has lost his sense of humor along with the critical distance and perspective that make humor possible. At this point, he’s just a partisan scold, and you know that for certain, because even as he watched the QAnon Shaman parade around the Capitol on January 6, Stephen Colbert did not laugh,” he continued.

Then Carlson brought up the fact that humor is humor, even when it involves Jan. 6.

“Now, an actual comedian, whatever his politics, would have found that spectacle hilarious because—let’s be honest—it was,” Carlson asserted after showing the ridiculous shaman strutting in the Capitol.

“Imagine eating a meal with Stephen Colbert. Chances are you somehow offend him over the course of a typical dinner by saying something he finds offensive. What are the chances of that? 100%. Stephen Colbert is a Karen. He’s a brittle, middle-aged woman who’s always lecturing you about something. In fact, he’s Elizabeth Warren. They even look alike. Have you seen them in the same room recently? No,” the Fox News host snarked.

He went on to elaborate on how politics and political correctness have been substituted for comedy. No one finds it funny and most find it offensive. That’s why they are tuning out Colbert and other leftists.

“These people are so afraid. They’re so terrified, holding onto their stupid jobs late into middle age, that how do they respond to Cinco de Mayo? Fawning over the indigenous cuisine of the Latinx community. Nobody likes that and that’s why in the end, Stephen Colbert has not a single Hispanic viewer. His audience is entirely self-hating white liberals like him,” Carlson added.

“So, nobody watches anymore. That’s fine. That’s CBS’ problem. But don’t tell us you’re a comedian and therefore exempt from the normal rules of behavior and the normal federal laws about trespassing because you’re not. You did what they did, and you should be punished in exactly the same way,” he concluded.
